The JEE Main 2018 AIR is the rank scored by the candidates in the JEE Main 2018. The AIR is prepared on the basis of the JEE main examination conducted. The candidates must note that the only the JEE Main 2018 AIR is used for admissions through central seat allocation board (CSAB) to various NIIT/IIIT/SFIs/others.

Since there is no weightage of class 12th marks for the calculation of the JEE Main 2018 AIR, the candidates will not have to provide their roll numbers for verification. However, the candidates will be required to submit the class 12 regular and improvement mark sheet at the time of counselling for admissions to various IITs/NITs/IIITs and other CFTIs.

How will the JEE Main 2018 AIR be prepared?
The JEE Main 2018 AIR is prepared solely on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the JEE Main 2018 Examination. The candidates must remember that according to the new amendments in the JEE Main 2018 AIR calculation criterion, the marks obtained by the candidate in the 12th standard shall not be considered. However, the candidates still have to match the eligibility criteria as laid down by CBSE.
How to check the JEE Main 2018 AIR?
The candidates will be able to check the JEE Main 2018 AIR on the official website. The AIR can be found on the scorecard of the candidate.
Candidates must consider following the below-given steps to check the JEE Main 2018 AIR.
Step 1: First the candidate will be required to visit the official website of JEE Main i.e jeemain.nic.in. or click on the direct link that will be provided above once the results for JEE Main 2018 gets declared. The home page of JEE Main will get open. The candidates will be provided many crucial details and updates on this website also.
Step 2: To check the JEE Main 2018 AIR the candidates will have to click on the link that says “Result of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018”
Step 3: upon following the step 2, the candidate will be sent to the CBSE result page, cbseresults.nic.in. Once the candidate is on the CBSE result page, the candidate will see JEE Result 2018 with the rank for paper 1 and 2 link. Click on the same. Check the image below to take reference
Step 4: Next the candidates will have to check their result by providing the roll number and the Date of birth as shown in the Image below. Upon submitting these details the candidate will be shown the result on the screen
It is suggested that the candidate must take at least two printouts of the same.
Where will you get the JEE Main 2018 AIR?
The JEE Main 2018 AIR will be available in the scorecard issued to the candidate upon submitting the information. Candidates will be shown the JEE Main 2018 AIR under the CRL rank. The CRL rank for paper 1 and paper 2 will be available. Candidates can check the scorecard image below for their reference.
Uses of the JEE Main 2018 AIR
The JEE Main 2018 AIR is used to give admissions to the candidate through a seat allocation process. Candidates will be offered admissions to various IITs/NITs/IIITs and other CFTIs. Candidates will be given a chance to fill their choice of programmes and institutes online on the official website.
The candidate will be required to produce his rank card on the counselling day. The JEE Main 2018 AIR shall be analyzed and the candidate will be given admissions accordingly.
