What to Carry with JEE Main 2019 April Admit Card?
The candidates should carry JEE Main 2019 Admit Card as print copy on the exam day. Though the admit card s released online, however, on the exam centre only the print copy is accepted.
The documents needed to carry with JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
(1) Passport size photograph – exactly the same as that used in the application form.
- The photograph is to be pasted in the attendance sheet during the exam.
(2) 1 Valid ID Proof – With the JEE Mai 2019 admit card, also carry government authorized ID card.
- It can be a PAN card / Driving License / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar Card / Ration Card
(3) PwD Certificate – Candidates who claimed PwD benefits in the form, must carry PwD certificate as issued by an authorized medical officer.
(4) Geometry Box for JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 – Candidates appearing for JEE Main Paper 2, for B.Arch / B.Plan, can carry Geometry Box as well.

Details Needed to Download JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
In order to download the JEE Main 2019 Hall Ticket, the candidates will need the following details:
- JEE Main 2019 Application Number or Date of Birth
- JEE Main 2019 Password.
The application number should be the same as that generated during the application process. The password was also generated during the application process.
Forgot JEE Main 2019 Application Number or Password? Try This!
Candidates who do not remember application number or password or date of birth, need not. Just try these steps below to retrieve it.
Check Application Confirmation Page: First of all, check the application form confirmation page, the application number is mentioned on it. However, if you don’t have the confirmation page then go for the options below.
Get JEE Mai 2019 Application Number: To get the application number of JEE Main 2019, the candidates need to follow the steps below:
- Click Here – to access the login for retrieving the details.
- Click on, “forgot my application number” and then on ‘Continue’ button.
- Next, the candidates will get the login and to access it Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and State of Eligibility will be needed.
- When the candidates will enter these details and click on the ‘Submit’ button, the application number will be displayed on the screen.
Get JEE Main 2019 Password: The process for regaining the password for downloading JEE Main 2019 Admit Card is as follows
- Click Here – to access the login for retrieving the details.
- In the next window, click on the link for “can’t access my account”.
- Then, select the option for “forgot my password”.
- After this, the candidates need to select any of one of the options – ‘Using Security Question & its Answer you chosen during Form filling or ‘Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No’ or ‘Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address’.
- Click on the red “continue” button and as per the medium you select, you will get your password back.
How to Download JEE Main Admit Card 2019?
NTA only releases JEE Main Admit Card online, on the official website. The candidates can download it by following the process below:
Step 1: Foremost, click on the link above. Do remember there are two links for downloading the admit card. Click on any.
Step 2: On choosing the first link, candidates have to enter the application number and password.
- Whereas, on choosing the second link, candidates have to enter the application number and date of birth.
Step 3: After entering the required details, the candidates need to click on the ‘Login’ button and download JEE Main 2019 Admit Card from the dashboard.
The candidates can only download JEE Main admit card until the last exam, i.e. April 12, 2019. After that the window to get it will close. Hence, it is advised that the candidates maintain hard and soft of copy o it. It will be needed during AIR and result checking, counselling and admission.

What to Do If Unable to Download JEE Main 2019 Admit Card?
If candidates are not able to download JEE Main April Admit Card 2019 even after entering correct details, then, the following can be the reason:
Entering Incorrect details: Many times, candidates enter incorrect details and are not able to access the login. So make sure you enter correct application number, date of birth, password.
Website not working: When there is a sudden rush on a website the chances of crashing increases. Hence, if the website is showing error then the candidates should try after some time.
JEE Main 2019 Admit Card not issued: NTA only releases admit card for candidates who submit application form and fee on time. Hence, candidates who did not fill the form or whose form was rejected, do not get admit card.

Steps to be Taken Before JEE Main 2019 Exam Day
The candidate may take the following steps before the exam, to avoid any type of confusion or delay:
- Check all the details in JEE Main 2019 Admit Card.
- Visit the exam centre one day before the exam, to know the best route and other details. Candidates can only appear for the exam at the allotted exam centre.
- A night before the examination, keep all the documents ready.
JEE Main 2019 Dress Code
Is There Dress Code For JEE Main 2019 April Exam? – Well, NTA has not prescribed any dress code for the JEE Main 2019 exam. However, have been incidents in which candidates have been disbarred from the exam centre due to improper dressings. Therefore, it is important to know what you can wear at the exam centre and what you should not, keeping in mind the decorum of the exam.
What to wear? – Girls may wear Kurtis, leggings, simple tops, and jeans/trousers with less or no pockets. Boys must wear light coloured simple shirts and Tshirts. Simple jeans and trousers are Ok. Avoid anything with many pockets. Glasses are ok for candidates with low vision
What not to wear? – Girls are requested to avoid pieces of jewellery like earrings, rings, necklace etc. This might hinder the frisking process. Also, girls must avoid scarfs and shawls at the centre. Do not wear goggles, caps, hooded shirts, anything with lots of buttons and embellishments. Watches are not allowed. Neither analogue nor digital. Girls must avoid hair accessories like hairpins and metallic hairbands.
Are Shoes allowed? – Yes, shoes are allowed, however, at various centre, the shoes that are closed are not allowed. Thus wear open shoes like sandals and slipper. This goes for both girls and boys.
Important Instructions as per JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
The candidates will also have to follow the below-mentioned instructions at the exam centre.
Reporting Time: Reach the exam hall on time, before the last entry which is:
- Last entry for Slot 1 – 8:30 am.
- Last entry for Slot 2 – 1:30 pm.
- The registration desk will close 60 minutes before the examination.

Find Seat and Maintain Decorum: At the exam hall, candidates have to find the seat and maintain decorum until the exam ends.
Attendance – At the exam hall, the candidates will have to paste the photo on the attendance sheet and sign on it.
Use Rough Sheet – At the exam hall, candidates will get a rough sheet. So all the calculations on it. At the end of the exam, handover the rough sheet to the invigilator.
Safekeeping of the admit card – The admit card is a very important document. the copy of the admit card that you carry in the exam centre must be kept very safe and in good condition till the admission process ends.

Ans. In such a case, you will get your JEE Main Admit Card. However, note that since the name is incorrect in your admit card, it must be incorrect in your application form and will remain so in your result also. Once the computer-based test is over, NTA releases the JEE Main 2019 Result. The result releases in the form percentile also known as NTA score. Out of the score, the AIR is decided. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national level examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency. The exam is held for 10+2 candidates, who satisfy eligibility criteria. The examination is held in computer-based mode and the qualified candidates get admission in B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch / B.Plan course. The admission is granted in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs on the basis of JEE Main 2019 AIR.
