The JEE Main 2019 Information Brochure has been released on the official website on August 30, 2018, in PDF format. From now onwards, the JEE Main 2019 exam is going to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. JEE Main 2019 Information Brochure

Now that the NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2019 exam, some big changes have been added by the NTA. For instance, the biggest change is that from now onb=there is no age limit to apply for the exam, you will not need the Adhar Number for doing registrations, the number of attempt limit that was limited to 3 times until the last time has been nullified and now there are no such criteria. The application fee for the JEE Main 2019 exam has been lowered. So these were the major changes that have been applied to the JEE Main 2019 exam and onwards. JEE Main 2019 Application Forn

The details related to the Application Form are available in the information brochure. As from now onwards the exam is going to be conducted twice a year, so the candidates who want to appear for both the sessions have to apply online twice. Candidates must make sure that they fill the application form and submit the application fee before the last date. Although the students are provided with the facility of making changes in the Application form, yet they must make sure to cross-check the details filled in the Application form in the first time itself.

JEE Main 2019 Admit Card

The JEE Main 2019 Admit Card will be released for the students shortly after they have successfully completed the registration process and paid the Application fee. Candidates willing to appear for both the sessions of the JEE Main 2019 exam. Candidates will be getting the admit card via post and thus, candidates must pay attention while filling the Adress details in the application form. Also, make sure to keep a separate copy of the Admit Card safe until the complete admission procedure get’s over.

JEE Main 2019 Result

The JEE Main 2019 Information brochure also contains the details related to the JEE Main 2019 result. The candidates will get the JEE Main 2019 result on the offcial website. However, it must be noted that the All India Rank shall be available to the students only after the JEE Main exam for both the sessions are over. Students appearing for both the exams will get their AIR on the basis of the better marks in both the sessions. The better marks out of both the sessions will be provided to the students, Make sure to keep a copy of the JEE Main 2019 result safe for future reference. The students are informed that there no provision for the re-evaluation of marks and thus no discussion in this regard shall be entertained. On the basis of the AIR, the students will get admission to the NIT’s, IIIT’s and CFTI’s. 8 Types of the rank list will be available to the students.

JEE Main 2019 Cut off

The JEE Main 2019 Cut off will be available once the results are announced. Many factors such as the Number of students attempting the exam, the seat availability and the difficulty level of the JEE Main 2019 exam shall be considered while formulating the Cutoff. Now that the National Testing Agency is conducting the exam, the cut off might be different as compared to the JEE Main cut off for the previous year.

Mode of Exam – The Mathematics and the Aptitude Test sections have will be computer-based wheres the drawing test will be conducted in the pen and paper mode.

Normalization of Scores

As the students know now that the JEE Main 2019 exam will be conducted twice in a year in multiple sessions. Thus, it could be possible that the some of the students may opt for the difficult questions and some may attempt easy ones. And since nobody knows which paper will be having tougher questions “Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score” will be used. This procedure is used to avoid any kind of chaos and make sure that no candidate is benefitted or disadvantaged in the JEE Main Exams. The Normalization of marks shall be done on the basis of the relative performance of the candidates appearing for the exam by transferring the marks obtained in the JEE Main exam into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for every session.

JEE Main 2019 Test Centres

The NTA has provided a list of the JEE Main Test Centres that the students can choose from. Candidates willing to appear for the JEE Main 2019 test centres will have to provide 4 preferences from the available list of test centres. The students are informed that once submitted, the students will not be able to change the exam centres. Also, the decision of allotment of the test center shall be completely in the hands of the NTA. The NTA will make sure that the students get the test centers as provided by them. However, in any case otherwise, the students may get a different test centre but in the same city as selected by them.
