JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet
The JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet is the exact copy of the responses that the candidates have marked on the exam day. It contains the question id and the ids of all the four options. What Is The Significance Of JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet
Since the JEE Main 2019 is held in the online mode, there is no mode for the candidates to keep a record of the answer they have marked in the exam or the questions that were asked in the examination. Thus NTA uploads the recorded response of the candidates under the candidate’s login 2 days after the exam is over.

- To check the answers marked in the exam.
- Response sheet also contains the question asked in the exam.
- Response sheet and answer key are mandatory to get the estimated score in the exam.
How To Check The JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet
Response sheet of the candidates is the exact copy of the responses that they have marked in the exam. Therefore it is made available individually under the candidate’s login. To check the same the candidates can follow the steps below:
Step 1: Link for the response sheet
The candidates can find the link to get the response sheet on this page directly. Or they can visit the official site jeemain.nic.in to get the link. The link is in the form of the button as shown below:
Step 2: Login
The candidates have to log in next. After clicking the link as shown in the image above, the login window opens. The candidates have to enter the application number and password to go further.
Step 3: Find the Response sheet and question paper link
Now the dashboard opens. Herein you need to look for the “Display of Question paper and your Response Sheet” button. That will appear like the one shown below:
Step 4: Checking the response sheet
Thereafter the response sheet appears on the screen. The response sheet looks like the one shown below.
This is how the candidates can check the response sheet to know what answers they marked in the exam, what questions they have marked for review or left unanswered.
Step 5: Print the response sheet
The candidates can save the response sheet in their respective devices. A print button is available that saves the sheet in PDF format. The candidates can then take a print of the generated PDF.
Details Available In The JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet
The candidates, in the response sheet, get the following information as per the admit card details:
- Candidate’s application number
- Roll number
- Test date
- Test time
- Subject – Paper 1/Paper 2
- The Question ID
- IDs of all the 4 options
- The selected option by the candidate
- The status
What does the status mean? The status means what has the candidate has done in that particular question. Whether they have answered it, not answered it, left it for review or have answered it but have also marked it for review.
How To Use The JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet?
The JEE Main 2019 response sheet is easy to use and basically, it is of use when the candidates have to check how many of their responses in the exam are correct using the JEE Main 2019 April Answer Key.
To check the correct answer using the JEE Main 2019 Answer Key and Response Sheet check the steps below:
- Open the saved response sheet and the answer key in 2 different tabs.
- In the answer key check the column that has the question ID and the column beside it that has the correct option ID as shown below:
- Now, come to the response sheet tab, press cntrl+F. Now find the question ID. Once the question ID is highlighted in your response sheet check what is your selected option. Check the ID of that option.
- Now check if the ID of that option matches the correct answer ID in the answer key. If it does then the answer you have marked is correct, if not, the answer is wrong.
- These steps are to be repeated for all the answers.
How To Calculate Marks Using JEE Main 2019 Response Sheet
Now once you have cross-checked the answers using the response sheet and the answer key, you have the count of the number of correct answers that you have marked and also the number of wrong answers. Now you need to use the below formula to calculate the estimated score:
JEE Main 2019 Raw Score = 4 X (no. of correct answers) – 1 X (no. of wrong answers)
JEE Main 2019 Answer Key
The answer key of the JEE Main 2019 April exam is made available online. The answer key is not available in the PDF format. Candidates have to log in and check the answer key. The answer key and the challenge window open together. The answer key is available as shown below:
The thing to note here is that in the answer key contains the question ID and its correct option ID. The candidates have to crosscheck the option ID with the options while checking the answer key.
To check the answer key, the candidates have to log in using their application number and password. Using the answer key the candidates get the estimated raw scores. However, the result contains percentile sores.
JEE Main 2019 Question Paper
The candidates get to see the questions that were asked in the exam along with the response sheet. The response sheet has the answers that you have marked and also the questions that were asked. Q1: What is exactly the response sheet?
A: Response sheet is the record of your response in the exam. It has the questions asked in the exam and what answer you have marked corresponding to the questions. Also, it contains the status if the answer like marked for review, answered, unanswered etc.
Q2: What is answer ID, Question ID, status in the Response sheet?
A: Ids are unique number allotted to each of the questions and each option. The status means the action the candidates have taken in the exam regarding the question. This contains – answered / unanswered / marked for review / answered and marked for review.
Q3: Can I save the response sheet?
A: Yes you can. The response sheet is available only for a limited period over the website. Thus the candidates can save it in their device using the “print” button.
