JEE Main 2020 Admit Card – National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main Admit Card 2020 in the 3rd week of December 2019 at their official website jeemain.nic.in. JEE Main 2020 exam for the first attempt is held in the 2nd week of January 2020. JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
The JEE Main 2020 Admit Card is an important proof of identity for the candidate to gain entry into the exam hall. The examiner verifies information of the candidate based on the Admit Card, as it contains the name and photograph of the candidate. Following are some important dates for the JEE Main 2020 exam:

How to download JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?
The JEE Main 2020 Admit Card can be downloaded only online by visiting the official website. The admit card can be accessed only by the candidates who filled the application for Joint Entrance Exam 2020. The admit card can be downloaded using the following two methods:
- Download Admit Card through Application Number and Password
- Download Admit Card through Application Number and Date of Birth
The candidates must use a good browser to download the admit card. Use either of the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer ver 9+
Do not use your phone to get the admit card. Use a laptop or computer.
Steps to Download The JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
Step 1: If you selected the first option, the admit card can be downloaded by using the Application Number (which is system Generated) sent to the candidate during Form filling through SMS and Email, and the password created by the candidate.
Step 2: Fill in the application number, password and security pin and press submit (as shown in the image below). And then you are redirected to your personalized dashboard.
Step 3: On the dashboard find your JEE Main 2020 Admit Card and download it.
Step 1: If you selected the second option, the admit card can be downloaded by using the Application Number (system Generated) sent to the candidate during Form filling through SMS and Email, and date of birth of the candidate, as given at the time of form filling.
Step 2: Fill in your Application number, date of birth and security pin and press submit. (as shown in the image below)
Step 3: The candidate is then redirected to their personalized dashboard where they can find their JEE Main 2020 Admit Card and download it.
How to recover JEE Main 2020 Application Number and Password
In case the candidate has forgotten his Application Number and Password for JEE Main 2020 exam, the application number can be recovered and the password can be reset by the candidate by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to the official website and Click on the “I can’t access my account” button as shown below:
Step 2: Select the option of forgot password/forgot application number:
Step 3: If you have forgotten the Application Number as filled during the JEE Main application process, enter details like Candidate’s name, Mother’s name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, State of eligibility, and the security pin in the given fields and press submit. The screen is redirected to your application number.
Step 4: If you have forgotten the password, the same can be reset by choosing any one of the following methods:
- Answering the security question you submitted at the time of form filling.
- Using a verification code sent via SMS to your registered phone number.
- Using a verification link to your registered Email Address.
The candidates can then Reset a new Password and login to download the admit card.
Details in the JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
The JEE Main 2020 Admit Card contains important information such as Candidate details, test center details and exam timings and important instructions. The candidates must keep their admit card safe till the time results are announced. The Admit Card contains the following information:
- Roll number
- Candidate Name
- Date of birth
- Father’s Name
- State of Eligibility
- Application Number
- Paper medium (the language of question paper)

Important Documents to carry to the JEE Main 2020 Exam Center
The candidates must carry the following important items to the examination hall, as no candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall without these documents:
- Admit Card – a color printout of the admit card downloaded from the NTA Website
- One Passport size photograph – same as uploaded with the Online Application Form
- A valid Photo ID Proof – original photo id proof issued by the Government of India (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card).
- PwD certificate – if applicable
JEE Main 2020 Admit Card Download Issues
Sometimes the candidate is unable to access their Admit Card and can face problems in downloading the same due to various reasons such as:
Wrong Credentials: Many times the candidates put in wrong Login details on the Login page and hence cannot access their Admit cards. The candidates may follow the forgot password/application number procedure mentioned before and can access their Admit Card.
Rejected Application: NTA rejects incomplete applications due to unfulfilled eligibility or non-payment of fees. The candidates cannot access incomplete Application requests.
Other issues: Sometimes even after complete submission of form and payment of exam fee, the candidate cannot access their Admit Cards. In such cases, the candidate must contact the NTA helpline as soon as possible, along with proofs of payment of Application fees and Confirmation Page.

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card Frequently Asked Questions
Ans : JEE Main 2020 will be Computer Based Test and it will be conducted through Online mode only.
Ans : No. Candidates are not allowed to carry calculators or any other electronic device in the examination centre.
Ans : No. NTA is not responsible for sending the admit card via emails or post. The candidates need to download their admit card from jeemain.nic.in only.
Ans : First of all check if your Internet connection is strong. If not, then verify your login credentials, if you still cannot access your admit card, kindly contact the NTA office.
Ans : Kindly contact the NTA officials regarding discrepancies in the Admit Card details. However if the personal details were wrongly filled during the Application process, NTA will not be able to help the candidate and the exam will be forfeited.
Ans : The candidates must carry a colored print of their Admit cards along with a photo Id proof and a passport size photograph (the same as submitted during the time of form filling).

JEE Main 2020 Exam Preparation Strategy
Often times Candidates feel that preparing for an entrance exam is quite difficult. What they forget to do is to draw a road map to achieve their goals. Without a road map, we are often lost. The candidates who are preparing for the JEE Main 2020 exam may create their own schedules with the help of the following strategic tips:
- Make a schedule and stick to it. Study at least 4-5 hours a day, recommends 2019, AIR 1, Sambit Behera. Because often times we make schedules but do not follow it.
- Create small and to the point notes for revision later. Devote time for Revision.

- Try learning the less time-consuming methods to solve problems.
