JEE Main 2020 Bharat Bandh

Unions of central traders as well as banks are going to go on a nationwide Bharat Bandh on Wednesday, 8th January 2020. Unfortunately the date coincides with the third day of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020. On one hand will be the worry of exam performance, and on the other, difficulties one may encounter in reaching the exam center. For all the students who have their exam on the fateful day, here are some important things to keep in mind.

Important Points To Attend JEE Main 2020 on Bharat Bandh Day

Leave Home Early

The two things that are bound to be affected due to the strike are transport and banking facilities. Transport is going to be a big concern for all students who will attend JEE Main on 8th Jan.

Therefore the most important thing to keep in mind is to leave home very early.

Keep 2-3 hours in buffer for reaching the exam center. If all goes well then you will reach the center too early and will have to wait. But if by chance you encounter problems on the road and get late, then you will not be able to attend the exam which will be quite bad.

Travel With Family Or Friend

Because there are chances of you reaching early, you may want to carry some revision notes or 1-2 books. You may also be carrying your mobile phone to navigate in traffic on this crucial day. But at the exam center, there will not be any provision to keep these things safely.

So in this case, it is better to have at least one family member, or friend present with you at the center. They will be able to keep your things safely until you are back from the exam.

Travelling tomorrow with a friend or family member is also recommended so that someone can help you get out of any on-road issues you may face tomorrow. As you will be going for such an important exam, having to solve on-road issues will get you more stressed and affect your exam performance.

Keep All Documents Ready Tonight Only

You need to carry your JEE Main 2020 admit card, photo ID, and passport size photograph. Confirm all that you need to carry from the hall ticket only, and keep those documents ready tonight. Do not wait for the last minute as every second will be precious tomorrow!

Check Alerts By Your State Police

The police force of almost all states are very active on social media. They keep updating which roads will be blocked or which transport will be down from what time to what time. You can either check their twitter handles or facebook pages, or contact local police authorities (where your exam center is or where you will be starting from) to know if there are going to be any major roadblocks tomorrow.

Do Not Wear Clothes With Too Many Pockets

There is no dress code as such in JEE Main. A standard list of banned items and allowed items has been put up in the advisory. However there is frisking at the exam center and if there are too many pockets in your dresses, it may take more time to check you thoroughly. So avoid such clothes so that you can save time there in case you do not reach too early.
