National Testing Agency (NTA) is only accepting JEE Main April application form until March 06, 2020. On the last date, the facility to submit the form will end at 11.50 p.m. B.Tech / B.E and B.Arch / B.Plan aspirants who have not applied yet for the national level engineering entrance examination can do so from jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main 2020 registration is open for new candidate, as well as, for those who appeared for first attempt.

Will JEE Main 2020 Registration Last Date Extend?
NTA extended the last date to register for JEE Main 2020 Jan attempt. Candidates were given 10 more days to apply for the exam. However, as per the information brochure of JEE Main April 2020 the window for JEE Main 2020 application form correction will start from March 08, 2020. Hence, there is a high possibility that extension might not be provided for April exam.
Know These Important Points Before Registering for JEE Main 2020
Candidates who not applied yet must ensure that following points:
- Make sure you are eligible as per the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2020.
- Ensure that scanned images, uploaded in the application form, are as per the prescribed format.
- All details entered in the form are correct and as per class 10 / 12 data and voter id card.
- Ensure that the payment is done and download the confirmation page.
For the January exam, 9,21,261 candidates registered for B.Tech / B.E paper, 1,38,410 for B.Arch paper, and 59,003 for B.Plan paper. It has been observed that more candidates apply for April exam. Hence, it is expected that around 10 to 11 lakh candidates will register for JEE Main April 2020 exam.
Uploading Correct Images in JEE Main 2020 Application Form is Important
One of the most prominent reason for rejection of the JEE Main application form is incorrectly uploaded images. Candidates have to upload scanned photograph, signature, and class 12th document. The class 12 document to be uploaded in the application form can be – Class 12 marks sheet or certificate or admit card. The specification for these documents is as follows:
- Should be scanned in JPG/JPEG format.
- Must be clear.
- Size of these documents should be as follows:

Candidates can use coloured or black and white photograph. Other than this, the signature must be done in running hand writing and the letters should not be in all caps.
How to Register for JEE Main 2020?
Candidates can register for JEE Main 2020 from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. To apply, the candidates need to visit the website and click on dark pink ‘Application Form for JEE(Main) April -2020’ button.
On clicking the link, the candidates are directed to the login portal. There, the candidates need to select either yellow or pink button. The yellow button is for those candidates who applying for JEE Main 2020 for the first time. However, candidates registered and appeared for JEE Main Jan exam have to access the pink button.
After clicking the respective button, the new candidates need to register by entering these details:
- Name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Date of birth
- Identity type
- Gender
- Aadhaar number
- Address
- Locality
- City / town / village
- Country
- State
- District
- Pin code
- Land line number with STD code or any other contact number
- E-mail address
- Mobile number
- Password
- Security question
- Security answer
After this, the candidates get application number. With the help of it, the candidates can access the login and fill details, upload images, and pay fee for application form of JEE Main April 2020. Already registered candidates can directly access the form and finish the formalities.
Amount of JEE Main 2020 Application Fee
It is mandatory for both the candidates to submit application fee for JEE Main 2020. The amount of fee is as follows:

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card Releasing on 20 March 2020
Candidates who register successfully for JEE Main 2020 will be issued admit card on March 20, 2020. The admit card of JEE Main 2020 will be released online, on the candidate login. To download it, application number and date of birth / password are required. It will contain details about the candidate, roll number, exam time, center address, and more.
Though the admit card of JEE Main is issued online, the candidates have to carry it as a print copy. Digital copy is not accepted on the exam day. Along with the admit card, candidates have to also carry one passport size photograph and a photo id proof. These should be the same as that uploaded in the application form JEE Main 2020. PwD candidates also need to carry, PwD certificate.
How is JEE Main April 2020 Expected to Be?
JEE Main April exam will also be held in online mode and will have 3 papers for B.Tech / B.E, B.Arch, and B.Plan. The difficulty level of the exam is expected to be moderate to difficulty because NTA will try and keep it at par with the January exam.
