Photograph and Signature Specifications for JEE Main 2020 Form

Step 1. Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in. Please note that this is the new official website of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains.
Step 2. Click on the link “remove image discrepancy”, which you can see under current events. If you cannot see it then that means that image discrepancy removal facility is not available at that time.
Step 3. Now you are at the login page for removing image discrepancy. Login with your application number and password.
Step 4. Locate the edit image option, if there is any discrepancy, and upload fresh images.
Other Important Points
Until last year, there used to be several more guidelines regarding the photograph to be uploaded in the JEE Main application form. However now, only that which is given above is mentioned officially.
Nevertheless, students can follow a few common guidelines given below to ensure that they upload a good photograph:
- Preferably go to a photo studio to get a photo shoot done. A number of photo studios are available cities as well as semi urban areas.
- In studio, you can ask the photographer to give you hard copy as well as soft copy of the photo so that you can directly upload the JPEG file, rather than having to scan it first.
- If your photograph is too big, use image compressor tool available online or apps to compress the image.
- If your photo is too blurry, then it may not be accepted. So please make sure that your face is visible properly.
- It is better to have a recent photo, so you can go to a studio now before filling the form to get the photo taken.
