Compilation of JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 and Paper 3 Result

• The results are declared as scorecards, which contains – Candidate’ s Percentile in Each subject, overall percentile, and All India Rank (AIR).
• Since, JEE Main is carried in multiple shifts, candidate’s raw scores are normalized and converted to NTA score (explained in the next section).

How is NTA Score Calculated for JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Plan Result

The normalized scores are called as NTA scores. The preparation of NTA score from raw score is done using the formula below:

Why is percentile / NTA score calculated for the result: Since JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Plan is held over multiple shifts, the percentile score is calculated. This rules out any irregularity in difficulty level throughout the shifts. This, in turn, provides a fairer compilation of the result.

How is the raw score calculated: The raw score is calculated based on the marking scheme of the exam. The formula for calculation of raw score is thus:

Although the method of compilation of the result is the same for both B.Arch and B.Plan paper, the tie-braking process is a bit different for them. Check the same below:

Paper 2 – B.Arch:

• Candidates obtaining a higher NTA score in Mathematics is given higher AIR
• Candidates obtaining higher NTA scores in the Aptitude Test is considered next.
• Next, candidates obtaining higher NTA scores in Drawing Test.
• Even then if the tie remains, then candidates older in age are given better AIR.
• In case a resolution is still not possible, candidates are given the same rank

Paper 3 – B.Arch:

• Candidates obtaining a higher NTA score in Mathematics is given higher AIR
• Candidates obtaining higher NTA scores in the Aptitude Test is considered next
• Next, candidates obtaining higher NTA scores in Planning Test.
• Even then if the tie remains, then candidates older in age are given better AIR.
• In case a resolution is still not possible, candidates are given the same rank

AIR stands for All India Rank. AIR is assigned to a candidate on the basis of their JEE Main NTA Score. The different AIR’s assigned to a candidate are:

1. Common rank list (CRL): That is overall AIR of the student irrespective of any category
2. GEN-EWS: AIR in the EWS category
3. OBC-NCL: AIR in OBC NCL category
4. SC: AIR in the SC category
5. ST: AIR in the ST category
6. CRL – PWD: AIR of the PWD candidates who belong to the general category
7. GEN-EWS-PWD: The AIR of the PWD candidates who belong in the general EWS category
8. OBC-NCL-PWD: AIR of the PWD candidates who belong to the OBC-NCL category
9. SC PWD: AIR of the PWD candidates who belong to the SC category

JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Plan Counselling

Candidates clearing JEE Main 2022 Cut Off are called for counselling. The candidates have to register for online counselling via JoSAA with the score in JEE Main 2022. As per their ranks in JEE Main 2022 B.Arch and B.Planning papers, they are allotted seats in the NITs, CFTIs or IIITs, and other participating institutes.

Process of Counselling shall be as follows:

• Register on the official website of JoSAA and pay the fee.
• Fill choices for admission. All this is done in the online mode on the website of JoSAA.
• After the registration of the allocation of seats is done. The seat allotment result is published for each round.
• Then, if a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can appear for document verification at the reporting center.
• Next, if they are not satisfied they can practice more choices to change their allotted seats. This, however, depends on the next availability of seats as per the choice they have entered.
• After each round, the seat vacancy status is also uploaded. The rounds of counselling go on until all the seats are filled.
• Via JoSAA seats are allocated in the NITs, CFTIs, and the IIITs. The private institutes do not take part in JoSAA. The students need to apply in such colleges separately with their JEE Main B.Arch and B.Plan scores separately.
