Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 is held by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on April 02, 08, 09, 2017. Known as IIT-JEE or JEE Mains 2017, the exam comprises of two Papers. Paper 1 is for B.Tech and B.E admissions, whereas, B.Arch and Plan admission are done through Paper 2. JEE Main was held in offline mode on 02.04.2017, while on 08.04.2017 and 09.04.2017 it was held in CBT mode. However, it should be noted that Paper 2 of JEE Main 2017 was held only in pen & paper exam mode. The answer key of JEE is released online by CBSE and objections was invited till 22 Apr 2017. Now the JEE Main 2017 Result will be announced on 27 Apr 2017 along with JEE Main 2017 Rank.

Candidates may please note that JOSAA 2017 will be the centralized counselling for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, IITs. However there are a large number of colleges in every state that are also offering Engineering Admission on the basis of JEE 2017 All India Rank. To get admission in one of these colleges, candidates have to apply for them separately. JEE Main Eligibility

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria is laid down by CBSE. Eligibility criteria for JEE Mains specifies class 12 marks, age limit of applicant, and maximum number of attempts. Moreover subject combination in qualifying examination is specified.

  • JEE Mains Paper 1 is for BE / B.Tech.
  • JEE Mains Paper 2 is for B.Arch. B.Planning.

Paper 1 has the objective type questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

JEE Main 2017 Result

CBSE will announce JEE Main 2017 Result and All India Rank on April 27, 2017. It will be announced for the Paper 1 first. Then, on May 27, 2017, the AIR of JEE Main 2017 Paper 2 will be disclosed. It will be disclosed through cbseresults.nic.in. To check the result, candidates will need their Application Number and Date of Birth.

JEE Main Admit Card

After the online application form submission process is over, the JEE Mains Forms are scrutinized. JEE Main Question Paper

Along with the answer key, the Question Paper of JEE Main 2017 is also published. It is uploaded online on April 02, 2017. JEE Main Answer Key

JEE Main 2017 Answer Key will be accessible on the day of the examination, i.e. April 02, 2017. However, it will be unofficial answer key which will be provided by various coaching institutes. Some of the institutes are expected to release it are – FIITJEE, Rao IIT, Aakashh Institute, Allen Kota, etc. The candidates will be able to download it all – From Here

The official answer key by CBSE will also be released for JEE Main 2017. It will be accessible from April 18 to 22, 2017. The candidates will be able to avail and challenge it online, from JEE Main 2017 Login. The challenges against the answer key will only be accepted if the candidates will submit Rs. 1000, per objection.

JEE Main 2017 Counselling

JEE Main 2017 Counselling for admission/seat allotment is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. Candidates who have appeared either only in JEE 2017 or both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced can participate in counselling to get admission through counselling and seat allotment process.

  • JoSAA will be for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Government Funded Technical Institute (GFTI).
  • Candidates can register for JoSAA 2017 as per schedule and select preferences for colleges and branches.
  • Seat allotment will be on the basis of All India Rank, preferences of seats, and seat availability.
  • On getting a seat allotted, candidate can either chose to confirm it or try next available option. There will be a limited rounds of seat allotment for the colleges.
