Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions as laid down by the JIPMER to apply for the entrance exam for B.Sc courses. The eligibility criteria for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 is given below:

  1. The applicant must have passed 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology, and English and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National
    Committee on Education.
  2. The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate before admission is finalized. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi is essential for admission to JIPMER B.Sc. Courses.
  3. The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology at the qualifying examination.
  4. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the minimum marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination is 40%.
  5. For OPH candidates in general category, the minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%.
  6. Candidates who are studying/have studied Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational Stream will not be considered for B.Sc. (Nursing) course.
  7. The aspirant should be an Indian National.
  8. The candidate’s age should be 17 years at the time of admission.

Application Form

  1. The applications for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 will be available in online mode only at the website, jipmer.edu.in.
  2. Register online and fill in other required details in the online application.
  3. Upload scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications.
  4. The JIPMER B.Sc Application Form 2019 is to be filled and submitted through online mode only. No other of application submission will be accepted.
  5. The application fee is to be paid by online mode via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
  6. It is advised to applicants that after final submission of the online application form, take a printout of the application form for future references.

Application Fee

Admit Card

The JIPMER B.Sc Admit Card 2019 will be available through online mode only. Those candidates who have successfully submitted the online application form duly completed in all aspects with complete payment can download their admit card. The admit card for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 can be downloaded by entering the User ID and Password. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the admit card and a valid ID proof in original and photocopy of the same at the examination center.

Exam Pattern

Entrance Examination was conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) Online only.

  4. Duration of the exam: 1½ hours
  5. Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
  6. Syllabus: The questions from the entrance exam will be based on Class 11th and 12th as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE

Result

The Institute will upload the merit list for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 at its official website. Those who appeared for the entrance exam can now check their result. Counselling

Only those candidates will be allowed to participate for the counselling, who will make through the merit list. Such candidates should appear for counselling as per the specified schedule. It is important that the candidates should be physically present, and produce all the relevant documents in proof of Date of Birth, Academic Background, Category, etc.

Documents Required at the time of Counselling

Selected students need to bring the following documents in original and set of photocopies of each:

  1. Original Hall ticket with the sign and seal of the centre Representative/Invigilator
  2. Rank Letter
  3. Birth Certificate or Class 10th Certificate in proof of Date of Birth.
  4. Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination.
  5. Statement of marks of the qualifying examination.
  6. Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied.
  7. Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar.
  8. Category Certificate (if applicable)
  9. Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
  10. Migration Certificate
  11. The Residence Certificate / Employer Certificate in case of Puducherry residents.
  12. Medical Certificate in case of OPH Candidate.
  13. Six Passport size colour photographs recently taken.

Admission

Admission to all candidates is based on the merit, category of the candidates, and the availability of seats at the time of counseling. All candidates should report on due date mentioned in their “admission letter “, failing which, they will forfeit the right of admission. At any time, if the competent authorities find that admission has been offered based on false/ incorrect information/ documents and suppression of relevant facts, educational qualification or quota, the admission offered or the admission already completed shall be canceled, irrespective of the stage of the study of that course. Further, legal proceedings will also be initiated against such candidates for such action/(s). Hence, Candidates are warned against indulging in such action/ (s), in their own interest. All parents are also requested to make note of the above provision, and take due care and diligence, in all matters concerning admission to the courses.

Seat Details

The number and distribution of seats may vary for the academic session 2019. As per last year, the seat distribution was as follows:

  1. For B.Sc. Nursing there are total 75 seats, in which, 8 seats horizontally reserved for Male Students and remaining 67 seats reserved for Female students.
  2. For BASLP courses there are a total of 4 seats.
  3. For B.Sc. Allied Medical Sciences there are a total of 74 seats.
