Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts JIPMER BSc Entrance Exam 2019. The entrance exam is going to be conducted on June 22, 2019. Through the exam admission to  B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) and B.Sc. Allied Medical Sciences courses will be granted. JIPMER BSc 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Only once confirming the eligibility criteria, the candidate should proceed to apply for the test. Check the eligibility criteria for JIPMER BSc entrance exam 2019 from below.

Nationality – Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for admission to BSc courses at JIPMER

Age Limit

  1. The Aspirant should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
  2. Those who will complete the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019, are also eligible to apply.
  3. There are no upper age limit criteria for admission in BSc course.

Educational Qualification

  1. Should have passed the Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate
    Examination (ICSE) which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination.
  2. Should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology (including practical tests in the mentioned subjects) and English. 
  3. Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) Vocational Stream with
    Medical Laboratory Assistant or any equivalent examination are also eligible for the JIPMER BSc entrance exam.
  4. The students should have obtained passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology /
    Botany & Zoology and English individually and should have obtained a minimum of
    50% of marks taken together in all the subjects (PCB). In the case of SC/ST/ OBC or OPH, the minimum qualifying marks are 40%.
  5. For PWD candidates in the general category, the minimum marks required in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%.
  6. Candidates who are studying/have studied Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational Stream will not be considered for B.Sc. (Nursing) course.

JIPMER BSc 2019 Application Form

The application process for JIPMER BSc 2019 has been released in online mode only. The aspirants can successfully apply for the JIPMER BSc entrance exam 2019 by completing the three (03) steps. The first step is to register for the entrance exam by providing their personal details. Once the registration is done, the candidates will get Login Credentials (User ID and Password) and a login link will be sent to the candidate’s registered Email and Mobile Number. The second step is to log in using the details provided to the candidates. Now, the last step is to fill in details in the JIPMER BSc 2019 Application Form, upload the images and pay the application fee.

JIPMER BSc 2019 Test Centers

JIPMER BSc 2019 Admit Card

The JIPMER B.Sc Admit Card 2019 will be available through online mode only. The admit card for JIPMER B.Sc Entrance Exam 2019 can be downloaded by entering the User ID and Password. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the admit card and valid ID proof in original and photocopy of the same at the examination center.

The admit card for JIPMER BSc entrance exam consists of details such as Name and date of birth of the candidate as provided at the time of registration, Photo and signature image as uploaded in the Application form, Address of the allotted test center, Roll Number, etc. The candidates cannot submit any request for the change in details in the JIPMER BSc 2019 Admit Card.

JIPMER BSc 2019 Exam Pattern

JIPMER BSc is a computer-based which is being conducted in a duration of One Hour and Thirty Minutes. The test consists of 100 MCQ type questions. The questions will be asked in English Language only. The test is divided into 5 sections namely – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language & Comprehension, and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning.

Marking Scheme: Those who are preparing for the JIPMER BSc 2019 entrance exam must know the marking scheme of the test to avoid any surprises later.

  • For every correct answer, the candidates will get +1 marks
  • There is no negative marking for an incorrect response

JIPMER BSc 2019 Result

The Institute will upload the list of candidates who qualify the entrance exam at its official website. Candidates whose details will be included in the list will be eligible to appear for the JIPMER BSc Counselling. The Institute publishes the list of shortlisted candidates category-wise and an overall merit list in pdf format. The candidates can also download their individual rank obtained in the entrance exam from the website. To download it, you will have to log in by entering the User ID and Password. The JIPMER BSc 2019 result will consist of the Percentile score will be calculated separately for each of the
five subjects.

In order to be considered for admission in BSc courses offered at JIPMER and to be included in the Merit List, the candidates need to secure equal to or more than the cut off percentile as below.

JIPMER BSc 2019 Counselling

Only those candidates will be allowed to participate for the JIPMER BSc 2019 counselling, who will make through the merit list. Such candidates should appear for counselling as per the schedule which will be published by the Institute after the result is declared. It is important that the candidates should be physically present, and produce all the relevant documents in proof of Date of Birth, Academic Background, Category, etc.

Selected students need to bring the following documents in original and set of photocopies of each:

  1. Original Hall ticket with the sign and seal of the centre Representative/Invigilator
  2. Rank Letter
  3. Birth Certificate or Class 10th Certificate in proof of Date of Birth
  4. Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination
  5. Statement of marks of the qualifying examination
  6. Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied
  7. Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar
  8. Category Certificate (if applicable)
  9. Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied
  10. Migration Certificate
  11. The Residence Certificate / Employer Certificate in case of Puducherry residents
  12. Medical Certificate in case of OPH Candidate
  13. Six Passport size colour photographs recently taken

The number and distribution of seats for the academic session 2019 are as follows:

  1. For B.Sc. Nursing there were a total 75 seats, in which, 8 seats horizontally reserved for Male Students and remaining 67 seats reserved for Female students.
  2. For BASLP courses there were a total of 4 seats.
