Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JAKBOPEE) has postponed the Common Entrance Test 2020. Since all the exam conducting bodies are postponing the exam due to the rising number of cases because of coronavirus disease in India, it was expected that JKCET 2020 will also get postponed. The exam was supposed to be held on April 26, 2020. But considering the lockdown in the nation and safety of the students, the board has decided to postpone the exam.
The notice about the postponement was published by J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations at jkbopee.gov.in. It says, “Considering the lockdown announced by the Government because of COVID-19, the Board has taken a decision to postpone Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test that was scheduled to take place on April 26, 2020 until further notice“.
JKCET 2020 New Exam Dates
The Board has not announced the revised dates for JKCET 2020. As every industry and every sector has been ordered to follow the lockdown rules, the educational sector has also put hold many of its national and state-level entrance exams. According to the notice about JKCET 2020 postponement, the board will announce the new dates for JKCET 2020 in due course of time.
Recently, the Board extended the last date to apply for JKCET 2020 on March 31, 2020. The notice also states that candidates can utilize this time to submit the application form for JKCET 2020. Online application form for JKCET 2020 are available at jkbopee.gov.in. To submit the application form, candidates need to first fill the application form with proper details. Next, they have to make the payment and upload the documents. Lastly, they are required to take the printout of the confirmation page.
When will JKCET 2020 Admit Card Release?
Earlier, JKCET 2020 admit card was to be released on March 15, 2020. However, now that JKCET 2020 has been re-scheduled, new dates for JKCET 2020 admit card will be notified on the official website. Registered candidates can download the admit card from jkbopee.gov.in after providing the application number and date of birth. It consists of the important details like exam date, exam time, name and address of the exam centre, other general instructions.
Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test is conducted to offer admission to students in B.E. and B.Tech courses. The test is conducted at state-level. The test is objective in nature i.e., it consists of multiple-choice questions. The test-takers are given 3 hours duration to complete the test. There are 180 questions asked in the test framed from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each question is of 01 marks. There is a negative marking of -0.25 marks in case of wrong answers.
