Applications will be invited from eligible Candidates for admission to various Postgraduate Medical and Dental Courses (MD/MS/MDS/PG Diploma) for the academic year 2017-18. PG Medical Admission 2017 to MD / MS / MDS / PG Diploma courses in the constituent college of JSS University, JSS Medical College, Mysore & JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysore, on the basis of the rank list prepared by the University from the test scores obtained by them in the NEET PG 2017 entrance Test.

JSS University PG Medical Admission Procedure 2017
Last year admission procedure is given below.
The JSSU PG Medical and Dental rank list 2017 will be announced on JSSU website in the month of Mar 2017 (expected).
The JSSU PG Medical and Dental date of counseling will conducted in the month of Mar 2017 (expected).
The candidates will be called for counseling as per their ranking in this list. There will be separate merit list for Medical and Dental Students.
Instruction to the Candidates
Students will be admitted to MD/MS/MDS/PG Diploma courses in the constituent college of JSS University, JSS Medical College, Mysuru & JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysuru, on the basis of the rank list prepared by the University from the test scores & rank obtained by them in the NEET PG 2017 entrance Test.
- 15% of total seats are reserved for NRI / Foreign / PIO candidates.
- 5% of the seats are reserved for Institutional preference.
Decision of the authorities of JSS University in case of disputes will be final.
JSS University PG Medical Eligibility Criteria 2017
Given below eligibility criteria is as per last year exam brochure.
Qualifications: Requisite qualifications for admission to PG Medical / Dental Degree and Diploma courses:
- The candidate seeking admission to these courses should have passed Final MBBS / Final BDS examinations from a college recognized by Medical Council / Dental Council of India, and should have completed the compulsory rotating internship/would be completing.
- As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post-Graduate regulations 2000 of Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Medical & Dental Post-Graduate courses shall be 50 % for all candidates and the eligibility will be 40% for SC, ST & OBC as per regulation.
- Foreign / PIO / NRI students need not appear for NEET PG entrance test. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks as per MCI / DCI norms.
MCI/DCI Norms: Medical and Dental PG Degree and Diploma Courses:
Every student, selected for admission to the Post-Graduate Medical/Dental course in any of the medical institutions in the country, shall possess recognized MBBS/BDS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration from the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of the admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the MCI/DCI may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post-Graduate training restricted to the medical college/ institute to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies; provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his/her basic medical qualification and that his/her degree is recognized by the corresponding medical council or concerned authority.
If the candidate fails to fulfill the relevant eligibility requirements as mentioned above and as prescribed by MCI / DCI he/she will not be considered eligible for admission for Medical / Dental Postgraduate Degree and Diploma Courses.
