KEA Diploma CET 2018 is the exam conducted by Karnataka Education Authority for admission to 2nd Year Engineering Courses and for 1st year Architecture Course under Lateral Entry Scheme for both Day and Evening Engineering Colleges. Where to Apply for KEA Diploma CET 2018?

Why Online Application?

Earlier till 2014, KEA provided the candidates with offline application process. Since, 2015, this method of application was discarded and online Form Application was introduced. The Online Application form has an interactive user interface which guides the candidates to fill the form step by step making it more understandable and easy. The form asks for candidate’s details which are usually readily available information. The fields in the online forms are self-explanatory with drop down menu. Thus the provision of online application was commenced to make it easy for the candidate as well as the authority.

Structure of Online Application Process

The application process is divided into 2 phases:

Phase 1: This phase includes filling of the form. Candidates are supposed to fill in their details in this phase. Candidates may edit their details as many times as they like but only before selecting the declaration, i.e. before the commencement of the second phase. Once the declaration has been selected no changes can be made to the details entered.

Phase 2: The candidates must select the declaration in this phase only after confirming the details mentioned by them in the first phase. After the declaration, the candidates have to make the application fee payment and

Mode of Payment

The mode of payment for Application fee is through Challan. Once the candidates are through with the declaration, they have to select a bank from the list of specified banks to download the Challan and make the payment in the respective bank.

How to Apply?

Phase 1

Step 1: Candidates must go to and click on “DCET-2017 UG Online Application” link.

Step 2: Upon opening of the new page, the candidate has to click on “New User? Click Here to Register” and register by giving the required details.

Step 3: Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a mail at their registered email id containing Application Number and User ID.

Step 4: Now, the candidates need to login by entering their user id and password created by them.

Step 5: Now the candidates must enter the required details and click on “save and next” button only after making sure that the details entered are correct.

Step 6: After entering details and saving, candidates have to upload the scanned images of Photograph, candidate signature, candidate Left-Hand Thumb Impression and Parent Signature and select “save and next” button.

Now, before entering the second phase, candidates must recheck all the details filled by them and in case of any discrepancies, log in and change the information entered any number of times.

Phase 2

Step 1: The candidates have to read the declarations, understand them and then click on the “submit” button.

Step 2: After the declaration, the candidates have to make the online application fee payment.

Candidates must print the application form on an A-4 Size paper and affix their recent Passport size Photograph, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression on the space provided. Then,  they have to obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where they have studied Final Year Diploma in the corresponding space. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of the Challan (KEA copy).
