KCET 2018 Answer Keys

KCET 2018 Provisional Answer Keys is uploaded after the exam by the conducting body. In case, the candidates/parents/lecturers will find any objections in the answer key then they can send the complaints through speed post or email. Once KEA considered all the objection, it releases the Final Answer Key with all the required changes.

Before the official answer keys, unofficial answer keys will be also available.

KCET 2018 – Importance Notice

Admission to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy courses

Ministry of AYUSH has notified that, for admission to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy courses, candidates must compulsorily qualify in the NEET 2018 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted by the CBSE Board, New Delhi on May 06, 2018.

In view of the above, allotment of seats to AYUSH courses will be done on the basis of the candidate’s eligibility in NEET Examination and CET- Admission Rules / Government Orders.

Hence the candidates are hereby informed to register and appear for NEET 2018 to get the eligibility for admission to AYUSH courses.

Candidates may note that the name of the Agricultural course displayed in the notification/e-brochure will be read as follows:

KCET 2018 Application Form

Candidates firstly need to register first to access the application form of KCET 2018. To register, the candidates will have to select nationality, enter school board, and 13 Digit student number. On successful registration, an Application Number and User ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered e-mail address and mobile number.

After submitting details, the candidates will have to log in and enter personal, educational and other details in the application form of KCET 2018. In the form, candidates will also have to upload their Photograph, Signature, and Left Thumb impression as well.

Application Fee

To conclude the application process successfully the candidates need to pay the application fee.The application fee is as follows:

  • General candidates of Karnataka – Rs. 650
  •  SC / ST candidates of Karnataka – Rs. 500
  • Candidates outside Karnataka – Rs. 750
  • Candidates residing outside India – Rs. 5,000

KCET 2018 Admit Card

The candidates can download the KCET 2018 Admit Card in the 3rd week of April 2018. Candidates will have to download the admit cards as per the scheduled dates by login using details generated at the time of application. The admit card shall contain the following details about the candidate, examination schedule and examination centre. Candidates will be advised to download the admit card before the last date and also take a print out of the admit card for the future purpose.

KCET 2018 Exam Pattern

Candidates who will appear for KCET 2018 will have to go through the exam pattern including all the relevant details about the examination syllabus, question paper and OMR sheets. The exam pattern will be as follows:

Duration and subjects of examination – The KCET 2018 will be held on two days in four different sessions for four subjects. The Examination for Biology and Mathematics will be conducted on the first day in two sessions and Physics and Chemistry examination will be on the second day in next two sessions. Each exam/subject will be 80 minutes and carry 60 marks.

Type of Questions – Each paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions. Each question paper will be in 16 versions and each question will have four answer options.

Marking Scheme – Each question will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

OMR Sheet – A model of Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheets will be given to the candidates for marking answers. A specimen of OMR sheet will be hosted by the KEA website i.e. www.kea.kar.nic.in.

Examination Syllabus – The Syllabus for the examination will be based on the First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

Declaration of KCET Result 2018

KEA first releases the final answer key and then announces the result of KCET 2018. The result will be available in the last week of May 2018. KEA allots merits to eligible candidates on the basis of score secured by them in KCET 2018. The basis for merit determination is as follows:

  • MBBS / BDS – On the basis of NEET 2018.
  • Architecture – As per NATA 2018 and JEE Main Paper 2 score.
  • All Other Courses – On the basis of KCET 2018 score.

Instructions for the Candidates

  1. Candidates must go through the Information Brochure carefully and understand all the details mentioned in it.
  2. Applicants must retain the copies of application form, proof of payment and photograph (same for the whole admission process).
  3. Candidates must enter the correct information in the application form; KEA will provide no correction opportunity to the candidates.
  4. Candidates will have to carry the Admit Card at examination hall and also retain it until the end of the admission process.
  5. Candidates must go through the website for updates related to the examination.
