KCET 2022 Exam Pattern – KCET Exam Pattern would consist of 4 papers – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, plus one Kannada Language Test, and Agricultural Practical Exam, for specific subjects. KCET 2022 would be conducted as an offline, OMR based exam, with each paper having 60 Questions to be done in 70 minutes (+10 minutes for reading and filling details). There would be no negative marking in KCET 2022.

Who Has to Give Kannada Language Test?
- The candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to undergo a Kannada language test, to establish their ability to speak, read and write Kannada.
- The test duration would be 1 hour.
- Qualifying Marks shall be 12 out of 50.
- The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA as per the above schedule at Bidar, Belagavi, Ballary, Bijapura, Mangalore, Bengaluru Centres; therefore such candidates will have to appear for the ‘Common Entrance Test – 2022’ in a test centre located at Bengaluru, Bidar, Belagavi, Ballary, Bijapura, Mangalore Centres Only.
- The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of Kannada Language Test.
- However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates (including clause ‘n’) who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.
KCET Agriculture Practical Test
Candidates applying for Agriculturist Quota in KCET 2022 will have to prove their knowledge by undergoing a “Identification of Agriculture Related Specimens” for admissions.
- Practical exam would be of 200 Marks.
- The qualifying Marks are 100 out of 200.
- Practical Examination will be conducted at Bangalore, Hassan, Mandya, Raichur, Mysore, Munirabad (Koppal District), Arabhavai (Gokak Tq) Tamaka (Kolar District), Mangalore, Bidar, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Hiriyur, (Chitradurga) and Shimoga by concerned Agricultural / Veterinary Universities.
- INR 500 (250 for SC/ST) Practical Fees have to be paid in form of DD (in favor of the practical conducting university) on the day of the practical.
- 50% weightage would be given to OMR (theory) Exam and other 50% would be given to practical in KCET Result of such candidates.
KCET 2022 Syllabus
The KEA releases the syllabus of Karnataka Common Entrance Test. It contains all the topics from which questions will be asked in the Common exam. The KCET syllabus is as follows.
The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be based on the First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
