Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, will conduct KEAM 2020 on July 16, 2020. It will be a 1 day examination, in which paper 1 and 2 for phy- chem and maths will be held. The exam for KEAM will be held in offline mode, amidst the rising cases of coronavirus pandemic. Hence, to ensure the safety of the students, CEE has released KEAM 2020 instructions and guidelines. KEAM 2020 Exam Instructions for COVID-19 Safety and Precautions
No gatherings: Students must be present at the center on time. It should not be long before the exam time to avoid gathering outside the center.
No exit from the center after 1st shift: The exam is being held in 2 shifts, with a break of 2 hours between both the shifts. However, students will not be allowed to exit the center in the break. This is to restrict movement and ensure lesser contact.
For parents: Parents are not allowed to enter the building where the examination is being held. They should also work together to bridge the social gap outside the exam hall. Access to the exam center is only through one gate.
Safety measures: All the guidelines and safety measures issued by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be applicable to KEAM 2020. All students and parents coming for the examination must strictly adhere to the safety instructions issued by the Government and the Department of Health.
Carry extra masks and wear it all the time: Students arriving at the exam center are required to maintain social distance, wear a mask, and be subject to thermal scanning. Those who want more than one mask should keep it on hand with them safely. Post use masks should be deposited in the space provided for disposal at the center.
Symptomatic candidates: Those who show symptoms or show a high temperature on thermal scanning should follow the instructions of the Chief Superintendent at the centre. Such candidates have to be prepared to write the exam as per the self-defense criteria.
Students from other states: Students from other states, students from the quarantine, and symptomatic students are required to arrive at the examination center in their own arranged vehicle. Such parents and students will be kept away from others. Concerned authorities at the examination center must be informed in this regard in advance. Also, these candidates are required to appear for the examination in the room allotted to them subject to strict restrictions. They are required to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines as well as the general instructions.

Extra KSRTC Bus Services for KEAM 2020
Adequate bus service facility has been made available for the examiners to reach the exam center on time. Since due to the pandemic travel restrictions can be there in certain regions and convenience might be not available in ample, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will be running extra buses for KEAM 2020 entrance exam. KEAM 2020 Exam Centre General Guidelines
Reporting at center: Students are required to report to the exam center on the day of the examination along with KEAM admit card. The reporting at the center must be as per the time indicated on the admit card.
Do not carry these: Candidates must not take electronic devices such as calculators, mobile phones and smartwatches with them inside the centre.
Carry these: Candidates appearing for the examination are required to bring a photo identification document that can be any of these: Driving License, PAN, Voter ID, Aadhaar card.
Entry at centre: Students must enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the start.
Shifts of the exam: KEAM 2020 will be held in 2 shifts. In the morning and afternoon of July 16, 2020. Shift 1 time is 10 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. In shift 1 paper 1 will be held which is Physics and Chemistry. In shift paper 2 will be held that is Mathematics.
KEAM is conducted for 10+2 qualified candidates in UG engineering, agriculture, veterinary, forestry, and pharmacy courses. KEAM 2020 will be held in offline mode. There will be 2 papers in the exam – Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). Each Paper will be of 150 minutes duration and have 120 questions each. The marking scheme is +4 for correct answers and -1 for the wrong ones. All questions in the exam is of MCQ type.
