The admission to the candidates will be granted on the basis of merit list. The rank list has been prepared on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. The candidates will not receive any score or rank card. Hence, they must download the displayed result. During the counselling and the seat allocation round, the download copy of it has to submitted, in the hard copy format.

Preparation of CEE Kerala B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical 2017 Rank List

There will be three Rank Lists for the nursing and paramedical admission. These will be prepared for varied courses. To determine the merit, the marks of the candidates in qualifying exam will be considered. However, it will only be considered for certain core subjects. Normalization of the Score for Preparation of Kerala B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical 2017 Merit List

To prepare the merit list, the score of the above mentioned courses will be normalized. This will be done to ensure that the ranking is provided in a fair manner. The difficulty level of the qualifying examination, for the different board, may defer. Hence, to provide a common denominator, the normalization is done. The total normalized marks of the candidates will be determined out of three subjects. These will be computed out of 100. Hence, the maximum marks in the exam will be 300.

Tie Breaking for CEE Kerala B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical 2017 Merit List

While allocating the rank it happened that the rank of two or more candidates clashes. In this case, to break the tie, the conducting body uses certain predetermined method. For Rank List I and II same tie-breaking method is used. However, for the breaking of Rank List III, a completely different mechanism will be used to break the tie. The entire procedure for breaking of Rank List I, II, and III is as stated below:

Tie Breaking for Rank List II and III: First the marks of the candidates in Biology will be checked. The candidates with the higher marks will be allocated higher rank. However, if the tie still prevails, then the marks in Chemistry subject will be checked and the same will be done. Next, the marks of the Physics section will be checked. Even after all of these, the tie is not removed then the percentage of total marks followed by marks in the English language will be used. Candidate with higher score will be allocated higher rank. Even after using these mediums, if the rank is not broken then the age will be checked and the elder candidates will be granted higher rank.

Tie Breaking for Rank List III: If the tie breaking arises while preparing the Rank List III then the marks of candidates in Chemistry will be checked. It will be followed by marks in Physics and total marks in the qualifying examination. If the tie does not break, the score of English Language will be checked. The candidates with the higher score will be allocated the rank. However, if these mediums fall short to break the tie, then the score of the candidates in then the age factor will be considered and the elder candidate will be allocated the rank.

If even after such effort to resolve the tie, it still prevails, then as a last resort the alphabetical order of the names will be checked. It will taken into consideration in the English language.
