Research Degree Courses
- M.Phil. Commerce
Masters degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks (6.18 CGPA out of 10) or 50% marks (5.62 CGPA out of 10) for SC/ST candidates of GNDU or equivalent degree of recognized university or allied subject.
- M.Phil. Chemistry
Masters degree in Chemistry with at least 55% marks (6.18 CGPA out of 10) or 50% marks(5.62 CGPA out of 10) for SC/ST candidates of GNDU or equivalent degree of recognized university or allied subject.
- M.Phil. English
Masters degree in English with at least 55% marks (6.18 CGPA out of 10 ) or 50% marks (5.62 CGPA out of 10) for SC/ST candidates of GNDU or equivalent degree of recognized university or allied subject.
- M.Phil. Political Science
Masters degree in Political Science with at least 55% marks (6.18 CGPA out of 10) or 50% marks (5.62 CGPA out of 10) for SC/ST candidates of GNDU or equivalent degree of recognized university or allied subject.

Besides the above criteria for M.A. English, a student who has passed B.A. (Hons. School) in English shall also be eligible.

Any candidate who has passed the following examination is eligible for admission in M.Sc. Food Science & Technology (Hons.) Course- Bachelor in Food Science & Technology (Hons.), B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.), B.Sc. Food Science & Quality Control, B.Sc. (Medical), B.Sc. (Non-Medical), B.Sc. (Clinical Nutrition), B.Sc. (Home Science) with 50% marks or any equivalent examination recognised by UGC/University.
Note : candidates with 3 year pass course degree will have to qualify in the pre-requisite courses as prescribed in the syllabi of M.Sc.(Hons.) Food Science & Technology course along with BFST (Hons.) classes as offered in different semesters.
- M.Sc. in Computer Science & Information Technology
Graduate with Computer Science / IT Computer Applications / Computer Maintenance as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks in aggregate. OR BCA/B.Sc. (c) The admission will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by Khalsa College Amritsar and the marks obtained in 10+2 class

(a) A candidate who has passed 10+2 (Med./Non-Med.) exammination of PSEB/CBSE/ICSE with 40% marks.

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (4½ years)

A student who has passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board in science group or any other examination considered as equivalent there to by G.N.D.U. with 40% marks is eligible to apply.

Khalsa College Admission 2020 Rules for Eligibility for Final Examination
The student has to secure minimum marks as stated below in the House Test to make him/her eligible for final examination.
Graduate Classes (Arts, Commerce, Science)
35% marks in each subject in the house examination OR 25% marks in aggregate in-house examination held by the college.
Post Graduate Classes
25 % marks in each written paper in the house examination and 25 % marks in the seminar work. or 35 % marks in the aggregate of written papers and seminar.
Note: Attendance in the House Tests conducted by the College is compulsory. Any student who fails to appear in the tests will not qualify for the final examination
A student is admitted to the final Examination only when he/she fulfills the above mentioned conditions and his/her form is accompanied by the following certificate by the Registrar of the college.
- That the student of Under Graduate Classes (Arts, Commerce, Science) has attended at least 75% of the full course of lectures in theory and practical separately, delivered to his/her class in each subject offered by him/her.
- That the student of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Classes, B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Sci. & Tech., M.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture has attended not less than 80% of the full course of lectures in theory and practicals separately delivered to his/her class (as required by G.N.D.U. calendar) in subjects offered by him/her.
- That the student of Post Graduate Classes has attended 75 % of the full course of lectures in theory and practicals separately, delivered to his class in each subject/paper offered by him/her.
Note: The student falling short of above stated required attendance shall not be eligible to appear in the final examination.
