Manipal University Counselling 2018

Candidate should select the counselling venue from the list of centres available in the online test booking system before they download the e-hall ticket. The rank, counselling schedule, venue and other relevant details, will be made available on the website www.admissions.manipal.edu along with the announcement of results. Candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility requirements mentioned in the prospectus before they report for counselling. Only the candidates whose ranks are included in the counselling schedule are required to attend the counselling.

Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall. They will be called in the order of their ranks and offered the seats available at that point in time. They are permitted to choose any of the seats available during their turn. For the purpose of this rule, each failure in a subject in a (semester/year) Board/University examination will be reckoned as one failure. Non-appearance in a particular subject in an examination for whatever reason will also be counted as the failure.

Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

Counselling Procedure for M.Sc Nursing 2018

The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is unable to be physically present for the counselling due to unavoidable circumstances, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.  The authorized representative must carry the letter of authorization. Click here for Authorization letter format.

  • On arrival at the counseling centre, the candidate will fill in the registration form, made available at the registration counter
  • Candidates will be called as per their MET 2018 rank for biometrics and document verification.
  • Seat allotment for the successful candidates will be made as per eligibility as mentioned in MAHE Prospectus 2018, rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents for verification and pay the first year fees at the time of counselling.  Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.
  • On successful verification of documents, payment of fees and allotment of seat, admission order will be issued.
  • The absence of the candidate / authorized representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for the seat. The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final & binding, and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

Waitlist Procedure

  • When all the seats in the given course are filled, candidates may choose to be waitlisted
  • The following candidates are eligible for waitlist
    • Candidates who have attended the counseling & taken a seat and wish to opt for the change of specialization not available at the time of allotment.
    • Candidates who have attended the counseling, but haven’t got the seat.
  • Candidates may give their preferences using the waitlist form provided at the Counseling premises. A copy of the filled waitlist form will be provided to the candidates, for their record. The up gradation will be done as per the MET 2018 rank and the preferences, against vacancies.  On upgradation, the candidate has to compulsorily accept the allotted seat and cannot revert back to the original seat (if held). In the event of the candidate not accepting the upgraded offered seat, he /she will forfeit the allotted seat and will also be out of the counseling process.

  2. Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration form available at the registration counter.
  3. Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2018 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling. Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.
  4. Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
  5. The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

Counselling Procedure for B.Pharma / Pharma.D 2018

The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he/she may authorise another individual to represent him/her at the counselling. This representative must carry the letter of authorization.

In the absence of the candidate, representative will be issued only a provisional Admission Order on the day of counselling. Such candidates are required to report to admission office within 7 days from the day of counselling, to complete the admission formalities and collect the admission order. Otherwise the University may forfeit the admission and allot the same seat to others.

  •  Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall.
  • Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration form available at the Registration counter.
  • Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2018 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling. Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.

Counselling Procedure for B.Tech 2018

Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2018 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling.

The subsequent rounds of counselling to fill the vacancies arising due to withdrawals/cancellations of candidates admitted in the first round of counselling will be conducted online.

On the day of counselling

  • Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2018 rank for document verification.  Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling.  Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.
  • Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.
  • The choice of course/campus made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.
  • Eligible candidates should submit the attested photocopy of Income Tax return form for the assessment year 2018-19 only as proof of parent’s income (including non-working parent) along with the other original documents at the verification counter. Non-submission of the IT Returns form for 2018-19 will strictly not be eligible for SAGES Scholarship.

When the seats in which the candidate is interested are filled (not vacant), the candidates may choose to be waitlisted.  Also the candidates who are admitted and wish to upgrade their seat, may choose to be waitlisted.

Part payments or payment in installments is not permitted.  Nonpayment of the first year fees on the day of counselling will result in instantaneous forfeiture of seat.

We have no agents or middlemen for admissions. There is no management quota, reserved seats or payment seats of any kind.

Counselling Procedure for PG Medical/Dental 2018

Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2018 rank for biometrics and document verification. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should submit their original documents and pay the first year fees at the counselling.

  • For PG Medical: Permanent Registration Certificate from any State Medical Council/Medical Council of India and Certificate of permanent registration from Karnataka Medical Council
  • For PG Dental: Permanent Registration Certificate from any State Dental Council/Dental Council of India
  • Certificate of completion of compulsory rotatory internship
  • Marks cards of all professional examinations
  • Post graduate diploma certificate, if any
  • Conduct/Character certificate from the head of medical/dental college from which you have graduated
  • Fees: As applicable for the programme
  • Proof of Address: Passport/Aadhar Card (for verification only)
  • Two recent and identical passport size photographs
  • One set of photocopies of all the above documents

For NRI Candidates Only

  • A notary affidavit (to be prepared and notarized by the Indian Embassy or Notary Public at the place where the sponsoring relative is currently working) signed by the sponsoring relative
  • Photocopy of sponsor’s passport and candidate’s passport
  • Certificate from the bank for the payment made (account number should be same as mentioned in the Notary affidavit)

For Foreign Candidates Only

  • Photocopy of candidate’s passport

IMPORTANT NOTE: All the candidates are required to produce all the above original documents for verification.

After Admission

  • Provisional /Admission order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.
  • Selected candidates should fill the State Bank of India account opening form for combo ID card. The filled-in SBI account opening form should be submitted at the SBI counter. The combo card will function as university photo identity card, access control card, ATM and debit card. The combo card will not be issued if the account opening form is not submitted at the SBI counter. Further, you are required to submit Photocopy of any one of the address proof document (VoterID/Aadhar Card/Passport/Driving License) in order to open an account.
  • Candidates who require hostel facility should report to chief warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment.
  • Candidates should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the admission order.
