All dates for Manipal University admission 2020 has been postponed as of now. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) informed of the postpone by removing dates from the official website, manipal.edu. Now, all the dates of Manipal entrance test (MET) for admission in the 2020-21 session have been replaced with “will be updated shortly”. The University has not given explanation for the postpone. However, it is suspect that disarray in the entire academic calendar is in line with the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread
Despite this, the last date to apply for Phase 1 and phase 2 is the same as before. Online registration for Phase 1 ends on March 31, 2020, and for Phase 2 it will end on May 15, 2020. There is no update anywhere in the entire website of MAHE for the postponement, however, if this path is followed: manipal.edu >> study >> entrance tests >> MET 2020 Schedule & Cities >> Important timeline, one can clearly see, all dates have been removed. The screenshot from the website is also attached below:

Understanding The MET 2020 Schedule Change
Manipal University or Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts admission test at the national level for admission in most of its courses at UG and PG level. As the COVID-19 situation is tightening its grip day by day, a change in date was expected.
MAHE had planned to conduct MET 2020 in 2 phases. Phase 1 exam dates were allocated for the month of April 2020 and Phase 2 was supposed to be held in the on of May and June 2020.
However, given the current pandemic situation across the globe, here are the changes made in MET 2020 schedule:

When Will MAHE Declare New MET 2020 Dates
Most probably the decision for a new exam date will come after NTA decides dates for NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020. MHRD has already announced that NEET and JEE Main 2020 will be held in the 4th week of May 2020.
Therefore, all other institutes like LPU, VIT, SRM along with MAHE declared their entrance test dates as per the new dates of JEE Main and NEET, so that the students face no clash of exam dates. Most of the students who appear for these national level entrance tests also appear for the admission tests for these institutes and hence, NTA’s decision might play a pivotal role in coming up with new dates.
MET 2020 Application Process
The application process is going on. Eligible candidates can apply online for the course of their choice for admission in MAHE at manipal.edu.
Last date to apply for Phase 1 is tomorrow, March 31, 2020. With postponement of the MET dates, will the last date to apply be revised?
Well, for Phase 1 the last date to apply has been already extended once March 15 to March 31, 2020. Therefore it is likely that the dates will be further pushed back. However, because of the uncertainty all over the schedule due to COVID-19 no assumptions will be valid at this point, and hence we request the candidates to apply following the existing deadline.
To apply for admission follow the steps below:
- Register using your email, mobile number, program, course, and group.
- Next, fill in the details in the MET 2020 application form.
- Next, the candidates have to upload the necessary images.
