MHT CET 2019- Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted for the applicants who want to get admission in the colleges of the state. It is conducted in the month of May 2019. Applicants can get admission in B.Tech/ B.Pharm/ Pharm.D courses through this test. Applicants have to fulfill basic eligibility criteria to be considered for the exam and thereafter, all the qualifying candidates have to apply for counseling process where they are allotted seats.
MHT CET 2019
In 2017, nearly 3.9 lakh candidates appeared for MHT CET 2019 across 1110 centers. Candidates selected will be admitted to more than 360 participating colleges. Paper I will begin at 10:00 am, Paer II at 12:30 pm and Paper III at 3:30 pm. Below you can find the complete schedule of MHT CET 2019:

MHT CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are applying for the exam must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for admission in colleges of Maharashtra. Complete details of eligibility criteria are:
National: Applicant must be a citizen of India
Educational Qualification: Candidate applying for the exam must have completed 12th or HSC or equivalent examination.
Candidature: 1. If a candidate belongs to Maharashtra, he/ she can claim any one of the following types of Maharashtra State Candidature
- Minority Candidature can also be claimed by the applicants who belong to particular linguistic or religious minority community of the state.
- Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature can also be claimed by the applicant under a fixed set of rules.
- Candidates seeking Maharashtra State and Minority Candidature must appear for MHT CET 2019 to get admission in B.Tech/ B.E courses. On the other hand, applicants under All India and Jammu & Kashmir Candidature may or may not appear for the exam because the score of JEE Paper I for Main will be preferred over MHT CET 2019 score to get admission in B.Tech/ B.E.
- It is compulsory for the candidates to appear for MHT CET 2019 if they want admission in B.Pharm/ Pharm.D.
MHT CET 2019 Application Form
Candidates applying for the admission in colleges of Maharashtra must fill the application form before the last date. The mode of applying is only through online by visiting the official site dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
Registration: First of all candidate must click the link Apply Online present on the website. Thereafter, he/ she must register by entering the name, educational qualification and other personal details as required in the correct field. Now, a candidate must upload recent photograph and signature with the maximum size of 50 kb and 20 kb, respectively in jpg/ jpeg format only.
Filling Online Application Form: In this form, an applicant is required to enter the mobile number, email id, and password along with other important details as asked in the application form. Upon submitting, a confirmation SMS and email will be sent to the registered number and email id containing password and application number. Keep it safe as this will be required for future reference.
Application Fee Payment: After confirming all the details, an applicant is asked to pay MHT CET 2019 application fee to complete the process. The fee can be paid online only using a credit card/ debit card/ internet banking/ IMPS/ cash cards/ mobile wallets. Choose any one of the options provided and make a payment.
Candidates applying under general category must pay Rs. 800 and candidates belonging to the backward class and PwD category from Maharashtra state should pay Rs. 600.
Confirmation Page: On successful payment, confirmation will be displayed on the screen. Take a print out of complete form and registration confirmation page for future use.
MHT CET 2019 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must know exam pattern of the paper. To help you out we have provided exam pattern below. It is decided by DTE, Maharashtra.
Applicants need to appear for 2 papers, i.e., Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I will be of Mathematics and will have 50 MCQs of 2 marks each, Paper II will be of Physics and Chemistry with 50 questions from each subject and Paper III is of 50 questions each of 2 marks which accounts for a total of 100 marks.

Syllabus: Candidates appearing for the exam will have to prepare for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry and Biology from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th. The entire syllabus is same and questions will be asked based on the topics that are in class 11th and 12th syllabus of these 4 subjects.
MHT CET 2019 Admit Card
Candidates who have filled application form correctly and paid the application fee will be issued admit card in the last week of April 2019. Applicants can download admit card for MHT CET 2019 from the official site by entering valid login credentials on the login page. Thereafter, candidates must take a printout of it and keep it safe in order to appear for the exam. Admit card will have details such as candidate’s name, signature, candidates roll number, registration number, MHT CET 2019 exam date, examination center details and time of examination. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
Note: After downloading the admit card check that all the details entered are correct. In case of any error, contact the concerned authorities to get it corrected.
MHT CET 2019 Answer Key
After the exam is conducted successfully, DTE, Maharashtra will release answer key stating the correct answers to the questions asked during the exam. Candidates can download the answer key from the website and compare the responses marked. This will give a rough idea of total marks that he/ she is going to score. The applicant will also be given some time to challenge the answer key against a small payment. Thereafter, the final answer key is released, if required.
MHT CET 2019 Result
Applicants who have appeared for the MHT CET 2019 can check their results when released by the authorities. Candidates need to login by entering application number and password, to check the score and rank. Now, the applicant must download the scorecard or rank card and keep it safe for further process.
MHT CET 2019 Merit List
After results are announced, DTE will release merit list on the basis of marks and rank obtained by the applicants in the exam. Now candidates will be able to get admission in colleges of Maharashtra for B.Tech course on the basis of MHT CET 2019 merit list.
MHT CET 2019 Counseling
Counseling of MHT CET 2019 is expected to be conducted in the first week of June 2019. There will be three rounds of counseling with Centralized Counseling Process (CAP). The counseling will be done on the basis of preferences and rank obtained in the exam. Candidates with higher rank will be getting precedence over lower rank. Candidates have to apply online for CAP and then visit in-person for document verification.
In the counseling process candidate has the option to freeze, slide, and float. This enables the applicant to book the allotted seat or apply for another seat in second or third counseling. There is a counseling fee for the candidates who wish to get admission in colleges of Maharashtra. Applicants of a general category have to pay Rs. 800 and applicants applying under reserved category need to pay Rs. 600.
Thereafter, a provisional merit list will be displayed stating the allotted seats on the basis of preferences and score in MHT CET 2019. A candidate is then required to confirm the allotment by visiting the college.
