The Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET 2019 has been released, State Common Entrance Test Cell is conducting MHT CET 2019 from May 02 to 13, 2019. MHT CET 2019 is going to be held for the candidate who have passed in 10+2 with Science from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination. Candidate must have obtained necessary score in Common Entrance Test in PCB, PCM or PCMB. Candidates need to necessarily satisfy the MHT CET 2019 eligibility conditions mentioned below. If any candidate without fulfilling the eligibility criteria, applies to the University his or her applications might get cancelled.

MHT CET 2019 Eligibility  Criteria

Candidates will have to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the course, only the eligible candidates can apply for the course, there are different eligibility criteria for other state candidates, Jammu and Kashmir candidates and NRI candidates, candidates can also check their detail eligibility from below.

Eligibility Criteria for Fisheries Science / Dairy Technology courses under MAFSU, Technical Education Courses, Agriculture and Allied Courses

All the candidates who have passed or appearing at the qualifying examination in HSC 12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and the candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET 2019. For appearing to MHT-CET there will be no age limit in admission.

There are four types of candidature in Fisheries Science / Dairy Technology courses under MAFSU

  1. Maharashtra State Candidature

The maharashtrian candidate who has done their schooling from maharashtra is eligible to to take admission on residential proof or if the he has done schooling from other state, but the parents has minimum 3 yrs maharashtrian residential proof so the candidate will be eligible for the admission.

  1. Other State Candidature

The other state candidate or those candidates and whose parents have not resided in the state of Maharashtra for minimum 3 years in the preceding 10 years from the date of submission of application for admission shall be eligible for admission under 2% seats reserved as OS quota. Such candidate should submit Domicile / Residential certificate issued by concerned Competent Authority from their state in the name of candidate or his/her parent, or School/College Leaving Certificate (indicating the place of birth) or Birth Certificate along with the application form.

  1. Jammu and kashmir migrant candidature

The wards of citizens displaced due to terrorist activities from Jammu & Kashmir and also from the wards of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Services and other officers and staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu & Kashmir to combat terrorist activities as per Govt. Resolution No. AGU-2095/23106/CR-181/19- A, dated 5th September, 1996 and No. AGU/1197/28688/CR-94/97/19-A, dated 27th October, 1997.

  1. NRI/FN/PIO Candidature

The candidate must have 50% marks in the individual subject of PCB and English at XIIth Std. or equivalent examination for B.F.Sc. degree course The candidate should secure 50% marks in the individual subject of (PCM) and English at XIIth Std. or equivalent examination for B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree course

The candidate who have passed XIIth Std. or equivalent examination from India must have appeared in MHT-CET-2019. However, the candidate who have passed XII Std. or equivalent examination from abroad need not appear for MHT-CET-2019.

(B.F.Sc.)

  • Candidate with (10+2) with the 50% marks for Unreserved and 40% marks for Reserved category in PCB and English taken together are eligible for admission to B. F. Sc. Degree Course.
  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test of PCB of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.
First year of four year integrated programme leading to Bachelor of Technology (Dairy Technology) B. Tech.(D.T.)
  • Candidate with (10+2) with the 50% marks for Unreserved and 40% marks for Reserved category in (PCM) and English taken together are eligible for admission to B.Tech. (D.T.) Degree Course.
  • Obtained score in Common Entrance Test of PCM of the respective year conducted by the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture and Allied Courses

  1. Maharashtra State Candidature.

Candidates with the residential proof and school leaving certificate having Domicile of Maharashtra State /School Leaving Certificate containing place of birth from Maharashtra / birth Certificate issued by the competent authority from Maharashtra are eligible under this Category.

  1. Other State Candidature

The Candidates having Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate / Residence and date of birth Certificate issued from the competent authority other than Maharashtra state are eligible under this Category.

  1. Minority Candidature

The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

  1. Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature. (applicable only for constituent / aided

colleges)

  • The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities or
  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category.
  1. Children of NRI, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National

These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2019.

Note: It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2019 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Other State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to undergraduate courses in agriculture universities. But other common entrance tests such as JEE / NEET / AIEEA-UG (ICAR, New Delhi conducted All India Entrance Examination Test for Admission) will also be considered equivalent to MHT-CET for Admission.

First year of four year integrated Programme leading to B.Sc. (Honours) Forestry XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English.

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test of PCB of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination withoutBiology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
First year of four year integrated programme leading to B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) XII Class with Science passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology.

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test in PCM of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination withoutBiology shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

(Honours) Community Science XII Class in Science passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

(Biotechnology) XII Class with Science passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English
and
Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB/PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.
First year of four years integrated programme leading to B. F. Sc. Degree Course. XII Class with Science passed in 10 + 2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English.
and
Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who has passed qualifying examination without Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

Note:

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination of XII Class with Science securing not less than 50% marks for General category (Open) and 40% marks in aggregate for reserved categories (SC/ST/VJa/NTb /NTc /NTd / OBC / SBC / SEBC).

The proposal for candidates securing 40% aggregate marks in 12th Std with Science or Qualifying examinations for physically handicapped candidates was submitted to Govt. of Maharashtra for approval. The government resolution in this regards will be implemented accordingly.

The candidate other than Maharashtra State (OS) and Institutional quota will also be admitted through MHT-CET / JEE / NEET / All India Entrance Examination Test for Admission (AIEEA- UG conducted by ICAR, New Delhi)

  • Merit shall be on the basis of marks in percentage / percentile obtained in CET conducted by competent authority [MHT-CET / JEE / NEET / All India Entrance Examination Test for Admission (AIEEA-UG conducted by ICAR, New Delhi)] and the other weightages as per the admission rules notified by gazette notification approved and issued by Government of Maharashtra.
  • These rules of eligibility and requirement for admission to undergraduate professional degree courses of State Agriculture Universities shall also be applicable to all constituent and affiliated aided colleges.
  • The changes will be made in admission eligibility as per government resolution issued time to time.
  • Eligibility criteria for Candidates belonging to Person with Disability:

In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disability is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates, provided they submit a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature.

Eligibility Criteria for Technical Education Courses

There are five types of Candidature

  • Maharashtra State Candidature

A candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature type i.e. from Type A to E.

Type A

Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra state.

Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra or born in Maharashtra.

Type B

A candidate who does not belongs to Maharashtra but their parents have Maharashtrian residency.

Type C

A candidate who does not fall in either Type A or Type B but whose Parents are the Government employee of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra state before the last date for submission of application form for CAP.

Type D

A candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type A, Type B and Type C but whose parents are an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Type E

Candidate passing SSC or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in a disputes Maharashtra Karnataka border Area and whose Mother Tongue is Marathi.

  1. All India Candidature

The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.

  1. Minority Candidature

The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

  1. Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature

  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category.

Note: However as preference J&K Migrant candidates appeared for JEE(Main) 2019 over MHT-CET 2019 are advised to appear for JEE(Main) 2019.

5.Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-
CET 2019.

Note:

  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2019 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2019 as Score of JEE(Main) Paper I shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2019 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2019 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature, & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

Eligibility Criterions as per notification dated 19th May 2018 or its amendment from time to time:

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or  Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (atleast 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MHT-CET 2019.  OR
  • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)  OR
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

2. All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates.

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (atleast 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE(Main) Paper I or MHT-CET 2019.

OR

  • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

OR

  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
First Year – Pharmacy Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates.

(A) First Year

1. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates.

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
  • should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

2.  All India Candidature Candidates.

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
  • should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

3. NRI/ OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.

  • The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together.
  • Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
First Year – Pharm D. Maharashtra State Candidature and All India Candidature Candidates
  1. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates.
  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)
  • The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained non zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

2. All India Candidature Candidates.

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together. OR
  • Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State)
  • The candidate should have obtained non zero positive score in the NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET; However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.

Female candidates are not eligible for admission to Mining Engineering course.
