How to Use NEET 2019 Answer Key to Calculate Scores?

Candidates can follow the instructions provided below, to calculate marks in NEET 2019.

  • Start by visiting the official website and downloading a copy of the official answer key released with the question paper set, for which a candidate had appeared for.
  • One by one start matching your answer to the answers mentioned over the answer key.
  • Put a cross mark and allot yourself a -1 mark in front of the questions, that you have attempted incorrectly.
  • Whereas put a tick mark and award yourself +4 marks for every correct answer.
  • Calculate your total NEET UG 2019 Score by following the formula, provided.

Total marks  = Number of correct answers marked x 4 – 1 x Number of incorrect answers marked

National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the question paper for all the sets, along with the official NEET 2019 answer key. The medium of language of NEET 2019 question paper is English and Hindi language. As the NEET 2019 question paper, is said to be bilingual in nature. So, one of the language is English whereas, a candidate can choose any other language, namely  English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu to appear for NEET 2019.

NEET Official 2019 Answer Key by NTA

National Testing Agency being the official exam conducting body for NEET 2019 releases the answer key on its official website, The purpose of releasing the NEET 2019 answer key, after having conducted the exam is that a candidate can estimate their scores, way before the result declaration date. If a candidate feels there some objections in the provisional answer key, he/she can raise the same by paying off a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000 in online mode. NTA considers all the challenges received and accordingly releases the final NEET 2019 answer key which cannot be challenged further.

Candidates need to download the NEET 2019 Answer key by logging in to their candidate’s login. Other than these answer keys, a candidate can also download the unofficial answer keys released by several coaching institutes. These unofficial answer keys are made available over the respective official website of these coaching institutes, just a few hours after the exam has been conducted.

NEET 2019 Response Sheet

A candidate cannot estimate their NEET 2019 scores with the help of just the official answer key. Rather, he/she also needs their response sheet to cross-check the answers. So, along with the NEET 2019 answer key, NTA releases the response sheet. NEET 2019 Answer key enlists all the correct answers, whereas the NEET 2019 response sheet mentions all the answers provided by you, at the time of appearing for the exam. Candidates need their NEET 2019 login credentials to download their response sheet.

NEET 2019 Result

With the help of NEET 2019 Answer key, a candidate can only get to estimate their chances of qualifying for the exam. But to know the exact scores secured in NEET 2019, a candidate need to wait for the result declaration date.   • Biology section marks are first considered. The candidate with higher marks is given the preference.
  • Further, if the tie persists, a candidate’s chemistry section marks are considered.
  • If still the tie situation persists, a candidate having committed fewer mistakes in the exam is preferred.
  • The final criteria of resolving tie is that of the age of a candidate. In this criteria, the older candidate is given the preference.

About NEET 2019

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 is to be conducted on May 5, 2019, between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This national level entrance exam is conducted across 154 cities in national level in offline mode. Candidates have to attempt questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) sections for 4 marks each. The negative marking scheme is also applicable. For every incorrect answer, a mark is deducted. Further, candidates must note that NEET 2019 scorecard is valid for 3 years from the date of result declaration.
