NEET 2020 to be Held Only in India
On Tuesday, National Testing Agency and Medical Council of India (MCI) informed High Court that it will not be able to allocated NEET centers abroad, including the Gulf countries. It explained that unlike JEE Main, NEET is an offline examination and given the situation it is not easy to transport the question paper and other material to the exam centers abroad. It further added that doing so needs meticulous planning and now there is no time or feasibility for it.
Sometime back, Indian students who are living abroad, esp. in Gulf countries, filed a petition requesting Centre and NTA to allot centres for NEET in Qatar and other Gulf countries. In response to this, NTA and MCI made the above statement and explained why it is difficulty to conduct NEET 2020 abroad. For now, the exam shall be held in 150+ centers in India.

The timeline for the exam has been distorted, leading to delay in the admission process. Postponing the NEET 2020 exam date further will result is more delay in the admission process and beginning of the session.
Possibility of NEET 2020 Cancelled?
The possibility of cancelling NEET 2020 is very unlikely. The application forms have been filled and all the medical colleges take admission on the basis of NEET rank. Hence, there are very less chances that the exam will be cancelled.
Also, the criteria for admission in medical colleges is very high. Only the best of best qualify NEET. Hence, granting admission in medical colleges on the basis of class 12th scores is also not feasible or fair.
