Shortlisted Candidates for Interview

Interviews will be held online. Candidates selected after the interview will be enrolled in the PhD programme.

Note: At the time of joining programs, the allotment of laboratories and thesis supervisors will be made, based on the interactions with faculties in the candidate’s area of interest and mutual preference.

Selection Process

Candidates applying for Ph.D. at the National Institute of Immunology (NII) will be short-listed for interviews after qualifying at least one of the following examinations:

• Computer-based Entrance Examination to be conducted by NII at multiple centres all over India.
• Joint Graduate Entrance Examination in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS 2021).
• Candidates applying through JGEEBILS 2021 must submit an application through NII application portal, with application fees.
• The list of candidates short-listed for interviews shall be available on the website of the Institute.
• Candidates selected after the interviews will be enrolled for the P.hD programme of NIL in academic affiliation with JNU, New Delhi.
