NIMCET Counselling 2020
NIMCET 2020 counselling is held in multiple rounds. Applicants are offered seats based on their choices in the order of NIMCET 2020 rank in 3 rounds of allotment. Candidates can check the schedule for each round of counselling from the table below.

NIMCET 2020 Counselling Process
Candidates who have qualified NIT MCA Common Entrance Test gets selected for the counselling process. In the counselling process, there are three stages. These three stages are as follows:
- Online choice filling
- Seat allotment
- Reporting and documents verification
NIMCET 2020 Online Choice Filling
In choice filling, candidates select the course and the college in which they wish to take admission. After the declaration of NIMCET result, rank holders received an e-mail. In it, a new username and password is provided with the link for choice filling. The candidates need to follow the steps below to submit the choices.
1. Click on the and change the password.
2. When done, select options for courses and colleges from the login.
3. Check all the options and ensure that it is in the order of priority.
4. Lock the choices when done.
Note: Candidates can only change their choices until it is locked. After the lapse of the deadline, the entered choices are locked as final.
NIMCET 2020 Seat Allotment
After the NIMCET 2020 choice filling, NIT releases the seat allotment result in the candidate’s login. The allocation of seats is done on the basis of NIMCET rank and choices submitted by the candidates.
First Allotment – It is most awaited allotment and most of the seats in the colleges are filled in this round. Candidates can either accept the seat and go for further round of counselling or opt fr round 2 of counselling.
Second Allotment – After the release of NIMCET 2020 counselling seat allotment result, those candidates who have not secured a seat in the first allotment or want to upgrade their first allotment can apply for the second round as per schedule. They are required to register again, they can use the login credentials of same as generated in first round.
“Upgradation” – Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotment in first round can upgrade their seats in the second round. They have to leave the seat allotment and again have to fill form for the second round.
Third allotment – The third allotment is held for the vacant seats in NIT, after round 2. Left out candidate can exercise their fresh options for the allotment. After the first and second allotments, there are two options:
- First, to finalise the seat allotted to them and join the institute allotted to them.
- Second, to appear for the next round of counselling in order to get a seat in their higher preference choices of the institutes.
NIMCET 2020 Provisional Allotment Letter
After the allotment of seats, the next step in NIMCET 2020 counselling is issuance of allotment letter. allotment letter. To download the allotment letter, candidates need to enter the login Id and password. Allotment letter carries the allotted center, and the date, time for the verification process. Candidates have to reach at the center along with allotment letter for verification and admission process.
NIMCET 2020 Document Verification and Reporting
At the reporting center, candidates who have been allocated seats have to appear for the documents verification process. The time and date is mentioned in the allotment letter. Candidates must produce all the documents required at the time counselling to get admission into NIT.

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national level entrance exam conducted by NIT on a rotational basis.
