About NIMHANS Entrance Exam 2020
NIMHANS Entrance Exam is National level exam which takes palce in online mode only. The exam will carry multiple choice objective type questions. There will be total 100 question with a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect response. the exam will be of 90 minutes duration and no candidate will be allowed to leave the exam before the completion of the exam. No marks will be dectued in case of unasnwered questions. A single online common test will be conducted for candidates applying for MD in Psychiatry, DM in Neurology and M.Ch in Neurosurgery courses with MBBS qualification which will contain 70 questions and to be completed in 60 minutes. There will be a domain test also for all the candidates who are applying for any of the above three courses and this test will be of 30 minutes with total of 30 questions.
National Institute of Medical Health and Neuro Science accronym for NIMHANS is formed by the amalgamation of the All India Institute of Mental Health and the Mental Hospital of the Govt. of Karnataka and cam into existence in 1974. The main objective of the institute was to generate
manpower in the field of mental health and neurosciences. NIMHANS was conferred ‘Deemed to be University’ status by UGC in 1994 and NIMHANS became an autonomous and independent university.
