NIRD PGDRDM (January) 2018 – National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is a premier national centre of excellence in rural development. It builds capacities of the rural development functionaries, elected representatives, academicians and young students through inter-related activities of teaching, training, research, action research and consultancy. The NIRDPR faculty comprises experienced academicians and development practitioners.

Scholarships

    • Ten students will be eligible for NIRDPR’s Scholarship based on their performance.
    • The North Eastern Council, Shillong, will be approached for giving fellowships to economically backward students of North Eastern states.

NIRD PGDRDM 2018

The NIRDPR announces its Fourteenth fully residential One-year ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)’ with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of rural development professionals in the country. The programme seeks to impart management techniques that will enhance the understanding of the paradigm and practice of rural development.

NIRD PGDRDM Application Form 2018 for January session

Application form to be filled online available from the website (http://www.nird.org.in/pgdrdm.aspx). The applications sent by post will also be accepted through the downloadable form available on our website. The filled in the online form (Hard copy) /downloaded application form should be submitted along with the Application Fee of Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) through an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRDPGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad. The filled in application form should be sent to the Coordinator (Admissions), Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Distance Education, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030, so as to reach us on or before 10.11.2017.

Application Fee is Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates).

The last date for the submission of filled in applications from the students of the North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep is 15.11.2017. Applications received after the last date shall not be accepted. NIRDPR reserves the right to make changes to the Diploma Programme, its design/content and the process of selection, depending upon the exigencies without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements for graduation before 1 st January 2018, may also apply.

Reservation: Reservations for the students of the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per the Government of India norms.

NIRD PGDRDM 2018 Entrance Test

The Entrance Test will be conducted on 19.11.2017 at the following centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. However, NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including the English Language. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates.
