The Entrance Exam will be divided into two parts, there will be two papers; Paper1 and Paper 2. The syllabi for both the papers are given on university website.
Paper 1- General Aptitude Test
This paper will have 50 questions and that will be multiple-choice (MCQs) covering logical reasoning, numerical ability, reasoning and language aptitude. Each correct answer carries 2 marks. No negative marking will be there for wrong answers.
The cut-off for Candidates will be 50 % marks and above (45 % marks and above, in case of reserved category candidates), those who secure 50% min will be declared as pass. The successful candidates in Paper-I will be allowed for Paper-II of Entrance Examination. The score of Paper – I will be valid for next two consecutive attempts.
Paper – II : Subject Specific Test
Paper-II will also be of 50 questions with multiple choice questions.
Syllabus for the Exam
To crack any Exam, it is very important to go through the Syllabus. On being fully aware with the syllabus, one can know the important topics by which candidates can get better marks. The syllabus for NMU Ph.D. Entrance Test is provided on the official site i. e. www.nmu.ac.in . As the question paper is divided into two parts, so the syllabus is also divided into two parts. The first one is the common part for all, that is the General Aptitude Test and the second one is the Subject Specific Test which is according to the Faculty of Engineering and technology, Fine Arts, Commerce and Management, Pharmacy etc.
The result for NMU Ph.D. entrance test will be announced after the successful completion of the Exam. The subject wise lists of eligible candidates and the exempted candidate will be displayed on university website after scrutiny of received applications for PET and exemption. After receipt of a satisfactory viva-voce examination report, the Ph.D. section of the university shall issue the notification immediately after the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.
