PAU 2019: The Punjab Agricultural University conducts three different entrance examinations for candidates willing to be a part of the programmes offered by them. These examinations are Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT), Common Entrance Test (CET) and Master’s Entrance examination (MET). To apply for the examinations candidates can choose either an online application or offline application process. The application form for both will be available online on the official website pau.edu.
It is advised to the candidates that they must check the eligibility criteria required by the university for various courses offered. Eligible candidates will be able to apply until the month of May 2019. All the details reading PAU 2019 has been provided in the article further.

PAU 2019 Counselling
For the counselling round, candidates will have to download a form that will be available on the official website after the declaration of result. The form has to be filled in with a pen by the candidates themselves. This form is to be brought to the counselling venue by the candidate as mentioned in the prospectus. The candidates who will be selected has to deposit the full fee at the time of counselling. The candidates will get the course as per seat availability.

PAU 2019 Courses and Selection Process
The Punjab Agriculture University offers all the candidates willing to take admission to various courses that are listed below. Also, there are three different examinations conducted by the university for admission to these courses. These entrance examinations are the main process of selection. The entrance examination and courses as per the examination are provided in the table below.

PAU 2019 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria by the university for various courses is given below. Candidates willing to take admission in any of the courses must check the eligibility required for that course.
PAU 2019 Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT)
All the candidates who are willing to take up B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture from Punjab agriculture university will have to take Agriculture aptitude test. The process to apply for the test and all other important details are explained below for candidates.
PAU 2019 Exam Pattern
The test shall be of one and half hour duration comprising of 100 multiple choice questions each of one mark to be attempted on OMR sheet. Each correct answer will carry one mark whereas 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The medium of question paper will be both in English and Punjabi. The question paper shall have four sections as under:
Section-I: Agriculture Aptitude: It will consist of 50 questions.
Section-II: General Science: It will consist of 30 questions.
Section-III: General English: It will consist of 10 questions.
Section-IV: Mathematics: It will consist of 10 questions.
PAU 2019 Common Entrance Test (CET)
The Common Entrance Test will be conducted for candidates who are willing to take admission in any of these: B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture 4-year, B.Tech. (Biotechnology) 4-year, B.Tech. (Food Technology)4-years, B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science, B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science 4-year, B.Sc. (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics 4-year, 5-yr Integrated M.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Zoology programmes
PAU 2019 Exam Pattern
The pattern in which the CET will be held is explained below for candidates.
- The medium of question paper will be English only and contains two sections.
- Compulsory sections:
Physics: 66 questions of one mark each.
Chemistry: 66 questions of one mark each. - Section with an option: Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture/Home Science 68 questions of one mark each for Biology or Agriculture or Home Science or 34 questions of two marks each for Mathematics.
- The candidate can opt for any of these four options. The optional subject in which the candidate wants to appear must be mentioned at Sr, No. 6 of the application form.
- Each correct answer will carry one mark.
- 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- The weightage for the correct and incorrect answer will be double in case of Mathematics subject.
PAU 2019 Master’s Entrance Test (MET)
The candidates who are willing to study or do master’s in Agricultural Meteorology, Agronomy, Entomology, Extension Education, Food Technology, Forestry, Horticulture (Floriculture & Landscaping), Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science), Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Biotechnology, can take the aster’s entrance test.
PAU 2019 Application Procedure
Candidates can apply for AAT both through online as well as offline mode. The application form is available at the official website of PUA that is pau.edu. The online application have to be filled in and submitted by the candidates along with the payment of application fee. For candidates who wish to fill in the application through offline mode have to download the form, fill it with all the authentic information and submit the application form.
PAU 2019 Admit Card
Admit card will be issued to candidates after successful submission of the application form. It is mandatory for candidates to get a printout of the to admit card and carry it to the examination center. Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to take the examination. The process to download the admit card that will be available online is explained below.
- Visit the official website or click on the link given in the admit card page.
- Candidates who will submit the application form online will have to provide their date of birth and UID to generate their admit card.
- candidates who will submit the application form in offline mode will have to provide their date of birth and prospectus number to generate admit card.
- After downloading the admit card candidate must take a printout of the same.
PAU 2019 Result
Result for PAU is releases offline as well as online on the official website. Candidates have to go and check the result that shall be put up on the notice board in thappar hall or they can also check their result from the university website pau.edu.The result will not be the final round of selection of the candidate, after the declaration of result candidates who will qualify will have to attend the counselling round at the university.
