How to Check PU CET PG 2019 Result?
To check the result candidates must keep their login credentials ready. Candidates can follow the steps given below to check the PU CET PG 2019 Result.
- Visit the official website or click on the link provided on this page.
- Navigate to the appropriate link of the result.
- Now, Enter your required login credentials.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Press Ctrl+F button and type your name. The name entered will be highlighted and candidates can check the total marks secured.
Note: Candidates must retain a hard copy of the result as it will be required during counselling and further admission process.
Merit List
The University will publish Merit List of the candidates for all courses on the basis of attainment of marks in the Entrance Test. The result of the Entrance Test will not be sent to the candidates. The weightages as applicable to different courses are as follows:
PU CET PG 2019 Tie Resolving Criteria
If in case two or more candidates score equal marks then there will be a provision of tie-breaking criteria. Those Candidates who will be securing the same marks in the final merit list then their inter-se merit will be determined by the following pointers listed below.
- Candidates securing higher percentage of marks in qualifying examination (Bachelors degree) will be ranked higher in the order of merit.
- Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in 12th class will be allotted a higher rank in the order of merit.
- If the tie still persists, then the tie will be resolved with the Date of Birth criteria. Candidates of older age will be given preference over the younger one.
PU CET PG 2019 Counseling
Only those candidates will be eligible for the counselling round whose name will appear in the merit list. Physical presence in the counselling is mandatory for all the candidates on the notified dates. Also, candidates should not forget to carry the relevant documents necessary for the round of counselling. The information related to the counselling will be available on the official website. It will also be put up on the notice board of the concerned department. It is mandatory for candidates to be Physically present during the process of counselling. Only those candidates will be eligible to take admission who will report at the allotted institute and also mark their attendance on the day of counselling. The admission of a candidate shall be PROVISIONAL and subject to approval by the appropriate authority of Panjab University.
