Exam date for PU CET PG 2019 has been announced. Panjab University will be conducting PU CET PG 2019 (Panjab University Common Entrance Test for Post Graduate) for the academic session 2019. It will be offering admission to various courses such as  Law, Management, Engineering, Health & Sciences, Arts & Humanities, etc. Aspirants willing to take admission in the above courses will have to undergo PU CET PG 2019. For that, candidates must fill the application form as and when they are available. Candidates should also fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the norms of the conducting body. Interested students must fill the application form before the last date. PU CET PG 2019 Eligibility Criteria

To fill the application form for PU CET PG 2019 candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria first and then fill the application form. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions for each course mentioned below.

PU CET PG 2019 Application Form

The PU CET PG 2019 Application Form will be made available to the candidates in online mode on the official website. Candidates will also have an option to fill the application form for more than one course. However, for that candidates will have to pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/- per subject. candidates will have to fill the necessary details like Personal details, communication details etc. After the entering, the required details candidates will get an Application Number, Login ID, and Password which will be required for future purposes. To complete the application process candidates must also submit the application fee before the due date.

Application Fee: As per the last year’s information candidates are expected to pay the application fee given in the table below. In case of any changes in the application fee after the release of notification, details will be updated here.

Mode of Payment: Candidates will be able to pay the application fee through Bank Challan. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

PU CET PG 2019 Admit Card

The admit card will be available to the candidates on the official website. Candidates must keep their login details handy as it will be required to download the admit card. Admit card is also known as hall ticket. Candidates must keep the admit card in good condition as it contains important details related to the entrance test like test center, exam timings etc. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without a valid admit card in any case. Applicants must retain their admit card till the admission process gets over completely.

Candidates should check the exam pattern first and then start their preparation. As it will be very beneficial for the aspiring candidates and also will help them in the preparation of the exam.

Master of Laws (L.L.M. One-Year Course and L.L.M. Two Year Course)

Type of Questions: The entrance test will contain multiple choice based (MCQs) question
The Duration of the Exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 100
Marking Scheme: All question in the exam will carry one marks each.

Master of Computer Applications M.C.A.

The Duration of the Exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Total Questions: 75
Type of Questions: The test will comprise of objective type questions.

M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication

The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Type of Questions: The exam will have both multiple choice based and subjective type questions.
Total Marks: 65 (For written exam) + 10 marks (GD and PI)
The test will be divided into five parts:

  • Article writing on current events
  • Precis writing
  • The feature, writing on personalities, reviews etc.
  • English Comprehension
  • Interpretative passage

Master in Public Health

The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 75
Type of Questions: Objective type
The entrance exam will consist of the following subjects.

M.A. (English)

The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 75
Type of Questions: multiple choice based
The pattern of the questions in the examination will be as follows:

  • Write at least two paragraphs (total 400 words) on any of the one given topics/issues – 30 marks
  • Critical appreciation of a poem – 25 marks
  • Four short notes (approx 100 words) based on Topics related to literature – 20 Marks

M.Sc. (INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY)

The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 75
Type of Questions: It will consist of 75 Objective Type questions

M.E. (Information Technology): There will be no separate test. Candidates will be selected on the basis of PU-CET (PG) in CSE/ ECE/ EEE.

M.Com (Business Innovations)

The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 75
Type of Questions: It will consist of 75 multiple choice based questions

Note: There shall be negative marking in all the entrance test. For every wrong answer,  ¼ marks will be deducted from the total score.

PU CET PG 2019 Answer Key

The PU CET PG 2019 Answer Key will be released by after the completion of entrance examinations. Candidates will also have an option to raise the objection against the answer key if required. There will be no provision of re-evaluation/re-checking/re-assessment of answer-scripts in any case. The evaluation of the answer sheets once done will be final and no request will be entertained for the same.

PU CET PG 2019 Result

The Result will be released on the official website only. After the declaration of results candidates will be able to download their respective rank cards from the University Website. The direct link to check the result will also be provided on this page as well. Candidates must note that no rank cards will be sent to them via post. The admission of the candidates will be based on the relative merit of the candidates which will be determined by marks in the qualifying degree examination.

PU CET PG 2019 Merit List

The merit list will be released on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination. The final merit list will be made available to the concerned Department/Institute/ Center on consideration of various admission criteria and weightage.

PU CET PG 2019 Counselling

Candidates whose names will be mentioned in the merit list will be called for the counseling process. Eligible candidates will be informed about the counseling on the basis of their merit position. The details for the counseling round will be released on the University website and also it will put up on the notice board. It is compulsory for the candidates to be present on the allotted day of counseling. Candidates who will report at the notified date of counseling and also mark their attendance will be considered for the admission process. Students must also bring the relevant documents during the counseling round.
