PU CET PG 2020 Application Form
The PU CET PG 2020 Application Form is made available to the candidates in online mode on the official website. Candidates have an option to fill the application form for more than one course. However, for that candidates have to pay an additional fee per subject. Candidates have to fill the necessary details like personal details, communication details etc. After entering the required details, candidates will get an Application Number, Login ID, and Password which are required for future purposes. To complete the application process candidates must also submit the application fee before the due date.
Application Fee: Candidates can check the application fee amount for PU CET PG 2020 from the table given below. This fee is non-refundable.

Mode of Payment: Candidates are able to pay the application fee through SBI Bank Challan or in online mode.
PU CET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria
To fill the application form for PU CET PG 2020 candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria first and then fill the application form. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions for each course mentioned below.
Master of Laws (L.L.M. One-Year Course and L.L.M. Two Year Course)
A person who has passed one of the following examinations shall be eligible after qualifying the entrance test to join the first semester class of the LL.M. Course:-
LL.B. 3 Year Degree/ B.A. LL.B. / B.Com. LL.B. 5 Year degree examination of this University with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates);
OR
Any equivalent examination of another University recognized by the Syndicate for this purpose.
Master of Computer Applications M.C.A. 3-Year Course and M.C.A. (Evening) (Self-Financing) 3-Year Course
The minimum qualification for admission to the first Year of the course shall be:
A recognized first degree of minimum three Years’ duration in any discipline from Panjab University with at least 50% marks and with Mathematics at 10+2 or at graduation level (all three Years);
Or
B.C.A. from Panjab University with 50% marks
Or
Any examination recognized by the Panjab University as equivalent to any of the above examinations i) or ii)
M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication
Passes one of the following examinations from a recognized University:-
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks in the aggregate.
OR
Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in the subject of Journalism & Mass Communication.
OR
Bachelor’s degree with Hons. In the subject of Journalism & Mass Communication.
OR
Master’s degree examination in any other subject.
Master in Public Health
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from recognized University/Institute.
M.A. (English)
A person who has passed one of the following examinations from Panjab University or from any other University whose examination has been recognized equivalent to the corresponding examination of this University:
- Bachelor‟s Degree obtaining at least 45% marks in English Elective or English Compulsory subject.
- Bachelor‟s Degree in any faculty with 50% marks in the aggregate.
- B.A. with (Hons.) in English.
- B.A./B.Sc. with (Hons.) in subject other than English obtaining at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Masters Degree examination in any other subject with 50% marks in aggregate. The pass percentage in case of entrance test in English stands increased to 35% (30% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/BC/PwD) w.e.f the session 2013-2014.
MA (Geography)
A person shall be eligible only if:-
1. he/she has a Bachelor‟s Degree with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate.
2. he/she has passed in Geography in the B.A. or B.Sc. examination with at least 45% marks; OR
has obtained Post-graduate diploma in Cartography with at least second division.
M.E. (Chemical) & M.E. (Chemical with specialization in Environmental Engineering)
B.E./B.Tech. (Chemical) (4-Year) or Five Year Integrated B.E.(Chemical) with MBA with a CGPA of 6.75 or at least 60% marks in the aggregate (where % marks are awarded) in the qualifying examination i.e. B.E./B.Tech. (Chemical) (4-Year) or Five Year Integrated B.E. (Chemical) with MBA or any other equivalent qualifying degree as approved by the Syndicate.
GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the PU-CET (P.G.). However, in case of eligible GATE qualified candidates, the merit list will be as per the percentile obtained and shall be offered the seat in the first instance.

PU CET PG 2020 Exam Pattern
Candidates should check the exam pattern first and then start their preparation. As it will be very beneficial for the aspiring candidates and also will help them in the preparation of the exam.
Master of Laws (L.L.M. One-Year Course and L.L.M. Two Year Course)
Type of Questions: The entrance test will contain multiple-choice based (MCQs) question
The Duration of the Exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 100
Marking Scheme: All question in the exam will carry one marks each.

- Precis writing
- Feature, writing on personalities, reviews etc.
- GK and Current Affairs
- Interpretative passage
Master in Public Health
The Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum Marks: 75
Type of Questions: Objective type

PU CET PG 2020 Admit Card
The admit card will be available to the candidates on the official website. Candidates must keep their login details handy as it will be required at the time of downloading admit card. Admit card is also known as hall ticket. Candidates must keep the admit card in good condition as it contains important details related to the entrance test like test centre, exam timings etc. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without a valid admit card in any case. Applicants must retain their admit card till the admission process gets over completely.

PU CET PG 2020 Answer Key
After the exam has been conducted, the answer keys are uploaded by the University on its official website. Candidates can check the schedule for the same from this page. The answer key contains the correct responses to all the exam questions. The candidates can also challenge the PU CET PG 2020 Answer Key within 48 hours of the release of key. To do this, an email has to be sent to arcet@pu.ac.in. Objections received are published on University’s website and cross-objections are also invited.
PU CET PG 2020 Result
The Result will be released on the official website only. After the declaration of results candidates will be able to download their respective rank cards from the University Website. The direct link to check the result will also be provided on this page as well. Candidates must note that no rank cards will be sent to them via post. The admission of the candidates will be based on the relative merit of the candidates which will be determined by marks in the qualifying degree examination and the entrance exam.
Tie-breaker: Priority order to resolve tie cases is described below.
- Higher percentage of marks in qualifying exam
- More marks in immediate lower examination
- Seniority in age
PU CET PG 2020 Merit List
The merit list will be released on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination along with the marks in the qualifying examination. The final merit list will be made available for the concerned courses on consideration of various admission criteria and weightage. Candidates can check the weightage from below.

PU CET PG 2020 Counselling
Candidates whose names will be mentioned in the merit list will be called for the counselling process. Eligible candidates will be invited for the counselling on the basis of merit. The details for the counselling round will be released on the University website and also on the notice board. It is compulsory for the candidates to be present on the day of counselling. Candidates who will report at the notified date of counselling and also mark their attendance will be considered for the admission process. Students must also bring relevant documents during the counselling round.
