A number of candidates who were selected through the RRB JE recruitment 2019 (against CEN 03/2018) have received their joining letters. The document spread over multiple pages is a surety of getting provisional temporary appointment in the Indian Railways.
While the RRB JE joining letter is dear to all who have received it, it also calls for action from them all. The letter lists out some documents that candidates need to further present, besides outlining their post, salary, and other norms.

Important: The point number 11 provides the date by which candidates need to report to the office with form part 2. Date, time, venue, documents list may vary from post to post, and candidate to candidate. Hence all candidates who have been selected in RRB JE recruitment should check their letters and be ready with the documents.
As per the screenshots of joining letter shared by candidates, the following documents are expected of them.
List of the documents that have to be taken: The documents that candidates have to carry at the time of joining are.
- orginal marksheet and mark sheet of educational and technical qualification
- attestatation form (03 sets) in your handwriting
- 2 character certificates from two gazetted officers
- original caste certificate (for SC / ST / OBC candidates)
- 5 attested passport size photographs (2 attested in front side and 3 attested in the back side by Gazetted officer)
- Electoral photo id card / driving license / ration card / passport etc in support of your identity
- Dully filled service bond
- Character certificate (Annexure – II) from the head of the institution where you studied last duly countersigned by 1st class executive magistrate / district magistrate / sub – divisional magistrate.
The candidates who appeared for RRB JE 2019 has received their joining letter from Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). At the time of joining, a document verification round takes place where the candidates are required to show their original documents as well as their photocopies. This is an important step for taking admission and without the verification of these documents, the candidates cannot take admission.

This bond must be present in the Annexure – 1 of your joining letter. The candidates are required to paste a stamp on this bond.
The purpose of this service bond is that it is a written notification which specifies that candidates who got shortlisted will have to do the job for minimum 5 years. If you have signed this bond and you leave the job before 5 years then, you have to pay the due and all the amount of stipend back to the concerned authorities in those years with certain amount of interest.
The character certificate has to be obtained from the institute you studied last. Take the printout of the character certificate, and take the same to the principal of the institute. The character certificate also has to be attested by stipendary 1st class executive magistrate, district magistrate or sub – divisional magistrate.
This is the most important certificate that has to be taken along with other documents. According to the details specified in the attestation form, the police verification in your locality is done. The format of the attestation form is same for every zone. In this attestation form, the details like address, aadahr card number, date of birth, present age, age of matriculation, place of birth, district, state, religion, confirmation of SC / ST / OBC etc have to be entered.
