Application form for the test of admission to two-year M.V.Sc., Three Year Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Veterinary & Animal Science courses for the session 2018-19 has been released by Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. Candidates can apply online on the official website of RAJUVAS or by a direct link which is provided below.

Application Fee: 

  • For M.V.Sc. is Rs. 1000/- (Applicable for all categories)
  • For Pre PhD is Rs. 1500/- (Applicable for all categories)

Eligibility Criteria

Residential

  • The candidate must have studied for last three years of qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognized Institution in Rajasthan. OR
  •  Natural Father/Mother of the candidate has been continuously residing in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years and the candidate has studied for at least 5 years during this period in a recognized educational institution in Rajasthan. OR
  • The candidate must be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan. He / She may be presently studying in any of the States other than Rajasthan. OR
  • The candidate is a son/daughter of serving or retired employee of

(a) Govt. of Rajasthan including Officer of
All India Services Born on the State Cadre of Rajasthan
(b) Undertaking Corporation/Improvement Trust /Municipal Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan by an act of Law or
(c) any of the Universities in Rajasthan or Secondary Board of Education, Rajasthan provided that employee has worked in Rajasthan for three years preceding the last date of submission of the application. OR

      • Candidate is a son /daughter of a permanent or retired employee of State Cadre of Rajasthan or Indian Defense Service and the employee is either of Rajasthan Origin irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan at the time of last date of the application for admission provided that in case the defence personnel is of the Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by him from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry in to service. OR
      • Candidate is a son/daughter of permanent (serving/retired) employee of Para-Military forces of India and The employee is either of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan at the time of last date of application for admission provided that in case of Para-Military personnel from the Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by him from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry in to service. OR 
      • The candidate is a son/daughter of a judge of Rajasthan High court subjected to that He / She submits an undertaking/affidavit stating that such benefit is not claimed or availed by him in any state.

Note – 

      • The relevant certificates which are the basis of eligibility of the candidate will have to be furnished by the candidate at the time of reporting/ counseling in the college.
      • The residence certificate wherever required will have to be duly signed by the district magistrate of the concerned district.
      • In case of serving personnel, where service conditions have resulted in eligibility, a certificate of the employer will have to be submitted by the candidate.

Academic

M.V.Sc

Admissions to M.V.Sc. programme are made through a competitive Pre Post Graduate Test conducted by RAJUVAS at the time and place announced by the Controller of Examination/Coordinator, Pre-PG Test. The minimum eligibility for a candidate who fulfils the residential requirements to appear in this test is given below:

      • The candidate must have passed B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree examination of RAJUVAS, Bikaner, or an examination declared equivalent to it with not less than 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage (i.e. 60%) of marks for general category candidates and 5.50/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage (i.e. 55%) of marks for OBC/SC/ST/SBC category candidates.
      • The following categories are exempted from appearing in the Pre-PG Test for admission to M.V.Sc.
        • Seats reserved under ICAR nominee
        • Candidates who have qualified for JRF of ICAR/foreign nationals sponsored by ICAR/GOI.
        • Field extension functionaries deputed by Government of Rajasthan
        • In-service candidates of RAJUVAS and/ or considered as “in the service of the university”(RAJUVAS) by the university.

However, they will be required to fulfil academic qualifications.

PhD

      • The candidate must have passed Master’s degree in respective/related subjects from RAJUVAS, Bikaner, or an examination declared equivalent to it with not less than 6.50/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for general category candidates and 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/OBC/SBC category candidates.
        • For Animal Biotechnology the candidate having a degree of M.V.Sc. In Veterinary Microbiology /Veterinary Biochemistry/ Physiology and Biochemistry/ Animal Genetics and Breeding/Obstetrics and Gynecology/Animal Nutrition or M.Sc. / M.Tech in Animal Biotechnology/Biotechnology will be eligible.
      • The following categories are exempted from appearing in Pre-PhD Test for admission to PhD
        • Seats reserved under ICAR nominee
        • Candidates who have qualified for SRF of ICAR/foreign nationals sponsored by ICAR/GOI.
        • In-service candidates of RAJUVAS and/ or considered as “in the service of the university”(RAJUVAS)by the university. However, they will be required to fulfil academic qualifications for admission.

Admit Card

Admit Card for the test will issue by Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences as per the schedule. Candidates will download their admit card from the official website of Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences or by a direct link which will be provided below.

Note: The admit card will not be sent to the candidates by post. The candidate has to download admit card from the website of the University.

Examination Centre: The College of Veterinary & Animal Science, Bikaner.

Applicant should bring the following documents at the time of examination, positively

      • Admit Card
      • Printed copy of upload application form
      • Photo I.D. proof (Aadahar Card/Driving license/Voter I.D. card)

Important: Candidates are advised to print a copy of the online uploaded application form and Proof of Payment fee (NET banking/ Credit card /Debit Card) for their personal record. It may be used any time in support of having submitted application and examination fee.

Scheme and Syllabus of Examination

Pre P.G. Test 2018-19 

In the very nature of the competitive examination, no syllabus can be prescribed. It is an exercise to pick up the best. However, for guidance to the candidates, the syllabus and the standard of the Entrance Test will be that of B.V.Sc. & A.H standard prescribed by Veterinary Council of India (Regulation 2008) and adopted by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner. The probable number of questions from each section of the syllabus will be as given in the table:

Note:

There may be a slight modification in the number of questions from a discipline by the paper setter. Therefore, no grievance of candidates regarding this issue shall be entertained.

      • The question paper will consist of multiple choice objective type questions.
      • The question paper will be in the form of a test booklet containing 100 questions bearing number 1,2,3…..100. There would be four suggested answers (A, B, C, D) to each question. The candidates are required to choose and write the correct answer in the provided space.
      • The test booklet will be collected from the students at the end of the examination.
      • Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
      • The answer sheet of the test shall not be subject to production before any court (civil or criminal) or before the candidate or anybody else on his behalf or before any internal or external authority.
      • Merit of candidates will be notified on the university website.

Pre PhD Test 2018-19

      • There would be four suggested answers (A, B, C, D) to each question. The candidates are required to choose and write the correct answer at the provided space.
      • The test booklet will be collected from the students at the end of the examination.
      • Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
      • The answer sheet of the test shall not be subject to production before any court (civil or criminal) or before the candidate or anybody else on his behalf or before any internal or external authority.

Result

The result of Pre PG, Pre PhD 2018-19 Test will be declared by Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences after the successful conduction of the test as per the schedule. Candidates can check their result on the official website of RAJUVAS or by a direct link which is provided below.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Pre- P.G. and Pre Ph.D.Test-2018-19 held as per schedule. Admissions to M.V.Sc (one seat in each discipline) for Field/Extension functionaries deputed by Government of Rajasthan will also be made for which appearing in the PRE-PG TEST is not required. Details for eligibility & qualification, course details, application form etc. will be available at University website www.rajuvas.org. Availability of Information Booklet and Date of commencement of filling of Online Application at University website www.rajuvas.org was was as per schedule.

The candidates who will stand in Merit List in the declared result on the University website will advise to positively attend the counselling on the scheduled date and time. There is no provision of TA/DA to the candidates by the University.

Verification of documents

The candidates must bring compulsorily following original documents for verification on the day of counselling along with one set of attested photocopies from both sides of documents:

      • Four identical colour photographs which should be same as uploaded for the online application form
      • Admit card of Pre- PG Test- 2018-19
      • Mark sheet and certificate of Degree (B.V.Sc. & AH)
      • Mark sheet and certificate of Senior Secondary Examination
      • Mark sheet and certificate of Secondary Examination
      • Character certificate issued from the college last attended and from where qualifying examination Passed
      • Caste certificate from the competent authority, if applicable
      • Physically Handicapped Certificate from competent authority as per provision, if applicable
      • Residential/domicile certificate of Rajasthan state, as applicable
      • Annual Income certificates for parent/Guardian of the student
      • No Objection Certificate from Employer(Competent authority) if employed

Medical Examination

All the candidates provisionally admitted to M.V.Sc./Ph.D. will have to submit Physical Fitness certificate from Medical Jurist of Govt. Hospital/ Medical College. The admission of candidates found unsuitable in Physical Fitness will be cancelled. In such cases fee will be forfeited.
