How to prepare for RRB NTPC 2020?
For the preparation of any exam, it is important to be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus. The exam pattern specifies the duration of the exam, number of questions, marking scheme etc. RRB NTPC is one of the popular examination that falls under the Indian Railway Recruitment and its pattern, syllabus are decided by the Railway Recruitment Board. For qualifying RRB NTPC examination, the candidates have to qualify number of stages.

CBT 1 exam pattern
- The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
- For every correct answers, you will get 01 marks.
- In case of the wrong answers, -1/3 marks will be deducted.
- There are 100 questions in total.
- The subjects from which questions are framed are General Knowledge, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning.

Time per question
As the time for the CBT 1 examination is 90 minutes and the total number of multiple choice questions that come in exam are 100.
So, you will get 0.9 minutes per question. That is 54 seconds per question.
How to solve one question in 54 seconds?
See you do not have to solve all questions in such less time. What you have to do is to manage time. You will need a more than 54 seconds in some math questions. So you should solve some GK questions in less than 54 seconds.
Those questions which are memory based, you should solve quickly, so that you get more time for maths and reasoning questions.
Some preparation tips for RRB NTPC
For General Awareness section: To solve the questions from this section, the candidates must read the news paper daily and get an idea about what is happening in and around the world. Get the hold of India Today magazine and read the current affairs.
For Mathematics section: The basic technique to solve this section is to learn the formulas by heart. Understand the concept and logic behind the formulas and apply them for solving every question. As it is said “practice makes man perfect”, try to solve previous year question papers and sample papers to ace this section.
For Reasoning section: For attempting the questions from this section, practice the questions from the topics like coding, decoding, puzzles daily. For scoring marks better in this section, understand the concepts.
