SBVDUNCET 2018 is the Nursing Common Entrance Exam conducted by SBVU for admission to B.Sc (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) / M.Sc (Nursing) in Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Puducherry.
SBVDUCET 2018 is the M.Sc Common Entrance Test conducted by SBVU for admission to M.Sc (Medical Microbiology) / M.Sc (Medical Bio-Chemistry) in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute.

SBVU 2018 Application Form
Application Form for Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Entrance Test 2018 is now available on the official website. Interested and eligible candidates should fill the application form the prescribed format and send directly by post. The completed application form should reach the office on the scheduled date. SBV will not responsible for the postal or any other delay. Incomplete/ wrongly filled will be summarily rejected.
SBVU 2018 Eligibility Criteria
For Nursing Programmes
As per pre-requisite for admission to the nursing course, Candidates must have appeared in SBVDUNCET – 2018. However, mere appearance in SBVDUNCET – 2018 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to the nursing course. For admission, the candidate should fulfil the necessary admission requirements prescribed by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH – a Deemed University.
- B.Sc (NURSING) The Candidate should be 17 years of age and above on 31st December 2018. No upper age limit is prescribed.
- P.B.B.Sc(Nursing) / M.Sc(Nursing): No age limit is prescribed.
Candidate for admission to the first year Nursing Course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic I Vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBc) in any one of the following three groups combinations and should have studied English as one ofthe Subjects.
- Biology ( Botany & Zoology) / Physics / Chemistry
- Physics / Foundation Science / Medical Laboratory Assistant Course
- Chemistry / Foundation Science / Nursing Course
Candidates should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing Course of 3 1/2 years of duration from the recognized institutions of INC & TNNMC after completion of H.Sc.(10+2) or its equivalent. The candidate should be a registered Nurse and Midwife with or without experience or PHN in the hospital / institutions after registration in State Nursing Council
Candidate should have qualified with the degree of Basic B.Sc(Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) in B.Sc. (Nursing)/P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) the course of the minimum duration of 4 years / 2 years respectively of course study in the Indian Nursing Council recognized institution. The candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council with one year experience after graduation as on 31st July, 2018.

Physics: Mechanics simple Harmonic Motion, Rotational Motion, Wave Motion, Gravitation, Sound, Superimposition of waves, Nature of Light, Interference of Light, Waves Diffraction and Polarisation, Radiation, Physics of Atom, Nuclear Physics, Electricity and Electromagnetic Induction, Universe-Properties of Matter, Electronics -Kinmatics, Astronomy.
Chemistry : Fundamental concepts Atomic Structure and Periodic Classification, Chemical Bonding, Acids and bases, Stoichiometry, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemaical Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, Electro Chemistry, Chemistry of Non -metals, Chemistry of Metals ,Organic Chemistry, Natural Products, Applied Chemistry, S Block Elements, Organic Halogen Compounds.
Botany : Vegatative Morphology (Root-Stem-Leaf)- Flower Fruits, Taxonomy, Anatomy (Root-Stem-Leaf), Genetics, Physiology (Absorption Transpiration Photosynthesis Respirational Growth), Ecology.
Zoology : Cell Biology, Human Physiology -1(Nutrition and digestion, Digestive System, Repirational Circulation of Blood), Human Physiology, (Excretion Nervous co-ordination Meninges Reproduction), Genetics,(Sex determination, sex linked inheritance, ploidy, Gene Mutation, Blood Groups) Embryology (Gametogenesis, Types of vertebrate eggs, Fertilisation, Cleavage, Gastruletion, Organogenesis) Environment in disease contact Sexually transmitted disease, Non – Communicable disease pollution.
Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc.(N) will have to appear for a Common Entrance Test- Syllabus given above – objective type with 140 questions of 3 hours duration.
Candidates seeking admission to P.B.B.Sc (N) & M.Sc.(N) Courses will have to appear for an entrance test of objective type. answer 50 questions in topics detailed below information brochure for a maximum of 50 marks in 90 minutes.
M.Sc. (Medical Microbiology) & M.Sc. (Medical Bio-Chemistry): The test duration is of 2 hours and consists of 3 sections. The distribution of questions is as follows: Section 1 – Zoology (100), Section 2 – Botany (100), Section 3 – Chemistry (100). Candidates should answer any 2 of the above 3 sections. The question paper is of multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type, covering the syllabus of BSc level followed by major Indian Universities.
Rank list / Merit list showing the mark scored by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test will be displayed in the noticed board of the Colleges as soon as it is ready and it will be “hosted in the website”. No Separate intimation will be sent to the candidate.
