Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University conducts an Entrance Exam to grant admission in B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA, M.Sc., M.A. & Integrated Programs to the eligible candidates. Candidates seeking admission in the SMVDU for the intended programme have to qualify SMVDUEE 2019. The candidates have to apply online through the Official website of the University in order to appear in the Entrance Test. The application process is completely online for SMVDUEE-2019, and there is no need of sending the hard copy of the Application Form to SMVDU. Every candidate will be allocated a unique rank based on his/her performance in the SMVDUEE-2019. Application Form

In order to appear in SMVDUEE- 2019, the candidates are required to apply online as per the procedure. The candidates have to fill all the required details while filling up the online form. After submission of details, Acknowledgement Page with Application No. will be generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of Application Form and keep it for further admission process.

Application Fee: An application fee of Rs.1500/- (Non-refundable) will have to be paid online at the time of submission of On-Line Application Form. The fee can be paid either by Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking during the online filling of the application form. In case of any Technical failure in payment of the Application fee online, the university will have no responsibility and the Application Form will not be considered to have been submitted.

Note: After successful payment of Application Fee, candidates are required to take the print out of the Application form. Candidate note that they will not be able to print out the Application Form if the application fee has not been paid.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates, whose valid Application Form, with valid details has been successfully submitted in the Application Form dashboard on with successful payment of Application Fee may be provisionally allowed to take the SMVDUEE 2019 examination.
  • There is no age limit on the candidate appearing for SMVDUEE 2019.
  • Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.

Admit Card

The candidates will be able to download the SMVDUEE-2019 Admit Card from the official website from April 21, 2019, onwards. The Candidates are also advised to check the Admit Card details carefully such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Test Centre Name, City, and PwD Category (if applicable). In case of any inconsistency, communicate to SMVDUEE-2019 Secretariat immediately for necessary action. A Help Desk will also be functional on all working days from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM for general facilitation. The phone numbers of the help desk are available on the website of SMVDUEE2019. (Toll Free Number: 1800-180-7133 / 01991 285524 Extension 2212) The Admit Card will be issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility norms.

SMVDUEE 2019 Exam Pattern

Mode of Examination: SMVDUEE-2019 will be conducted in Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode / On-Line (Computer Based Mode) as may be decided and informed to the candidates in advance.

  • The medium of Question Papers: English
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Marks of Questions: Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks.

Instructions for Examination

  • The candidate will then write particulars with Blue/Black ball point pen (Provided at Exam Centre) only on both the sides of the Answer Sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.
  • All questions will have equal weightage.
  • Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for the correct response. No marks will be awarded if no response is indicated for a question.
  • The Ball Pens will be supplied to the candidates in the examination hall so they should not bring any type of Pen/Ball Pens with them.
  • The candidate will check that the Test-booklet contains as many numbers of pages as are written on the top of the first page of the Test Booklet. The candidates should also verify the serial number and series of the Test Booklet with the serial number and series of OMR sheet / Answer Sheet. In case of any variation, the Test Booklet and OMR sheet /Answer Sheet should be immediately returned to the invigilator for the replacement with another set of same series available in the examination hall/centre.
  • The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the University with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per rules

Examination Centre

SMVDUEE – 2019 will be conducted in some major cities and towns of India as may be identified for the purpose by the University depending on the number of applicants for that city. The tentative initial list of cities is given below. While applying, candidates must select four centre cities examination. However, allotment of test centre shall be at the sole discretion of the University and the University reserves the right to drop some Centres/add new Centres from the list.

The List of Centres is tentative and may change depending upon the response of applicants, as may be decided by the university.

Answer Key

After the conduction of the Entrance Examination, the answer keys & question paper of SMVDUEE-2019 will be displayed on the official website. The candidates, who have any doubts regarding the answer keys, may challenge by filling online application and paying an amount of Rs.1000/- per question. In case the challenge is admitted by the SMVDUEE-2019 Secretariat, the fee of Rs. 1500/- for each accepted challenge will be refunded to the concerned candidate. The SMVDUs decision on the challenges will be final and no further correspondence will be contemplated.

SMVDUEE 2019 Result

The SMVDUEE 2019 result will be declared after the conduction of the examination. No Rank card will be dispatched to the candidates. The candidates will have to download their Rank Cards from the dashboard on the university’s official website. In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided in the order mentioned under:

  • Marks obtained in Mathematics in SMVDUEE – 2019.
  • Marks obtained in Physics in the SMVDUEE – 2019.
  • Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Date of Birth with the older candidate getting the higher rank.

After the declaration of SMVDUEE 2019 Result, the candidates will be called for the counselling process. Only the qualified candidates will be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. All the qualified candidates have to appear in the counselling process along with the necessary documents. It may be noted that unless the candidate proves that he/she meets the eligibility criteria by the designated date, the offer of provisional admission, if made, will be withdrawn without any further notice and provisional admission, if granted, granted will be cancelled.

Seat Allocation Process and Admission Procedure

Candidates will be offered admission based on their All India Rank obtained in SMVDUEE 2019 (and preference of stream, as filled by the candidate in their application Form, in case of B.Tech.) and intimation regarding Seat Allocation will be done after the publication of result. The verification of documents would be done at the time of physical reporting which will be implied later. Failure to prove the eligibility by providing the required documents will result in cancellation of admission at any stage.

Reservation of Seats

5% Seats are reserved for Persons with disabilities under Equal opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995. Relaxation/Fee Concession in admissions to various programs to the extent of 2% for Children of Martyrs of Defence forces (under the administrative control of Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India) and Central Armed Police Forces (under the administrative control of Ministry of home affairs, Govt. of India), is available. However, candidates must meet minimum eligibility criteria for admissions as notified by the university.
