SRM University has postponed SRMJEEE 2020. The University has cancelled all the dates for all the upcoming events of the exam. The new exam dates will be out by April 01, 2020. SRMJEEE was scheduled to be held from April 12 to 20, 2020. Although the website has not mentioned the reason for postponing the exam, it can be speculated that it is because of the COVID – 19 pandemics.
The notice for the postponement of SRM Joint Entrance Examination – Engineering (SRMJEEE) was put up as an announcement on the website of SRMIST, srmist.edu on March 20, 2020. The changes made on the website stated the following:
The New dates of SRMJEEE and SRMJEEH (UG & PG) will be announced on or before 1st April 2020. The candidates and parents are advised to keep visiting https://www.srmist.edu.in for the latest updates.

The New dates for Hall Ticket/Slot Booking, Online Entrance Examination, Result Publication and SRM Joint Counseling will be announced on or before 1st April 2020.

Is The Last Date to Apply for SRMJEE 2020 Also Being Postponed?
The announcement on the website has not stated it clearly. However, as it can be seen in the image above, all dates of SRMJEE 2020 have been crossed off, including the last date to apply, and it has been stated that “revised dates will be announced later”.
Thus, candidates are requested to complete the application process of SRMJEEE 2020 by March 20, 2020, itself and stay updated about new dates.
SRMJEEE 2020
This national level entrance exam is held for admission in B.Tech courses offered by SRMIST in its SRM Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Ghaziabad, Amaravati, Haryana campuses. The exam takes place in an online mode, which requires the candidates to visit their nearby allocated center to take the test.
Overview of the exam pattern: In the exam, candidates are asked questions from physics, chemistry, maths / biology, english and aptitude. Correct answers have 1 marks and the incorrect answer leads to no negative marking. All the questions are MCQ type. The distribution of questions are as follows:
