The basic salary of an SSC GD constable is INR 21,700 – 69,100. The salary depends upon the post the candidate is selected for. How to Download SSC GD Answer Key 2022?
Step 1: Visit the official website of SSC @ssc.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage click on the “Answer Key” section appearing at the top of the page.
Step 3: A new page appears on the screen, click on the notice reading- “Uploading of Tentative Answer Keys of Computer-Based Examination of General Duty Constable- 2021”.
Step 4: Now click on- “Link for candidate’s response sheet, tentative answer keys, and submission of representation”.
Step 5: Select the examination and enter your login id and password to access the answer key with correct responses.
Step 6: Download and keep a copy of the SSC GD Answer Key 2021 for future reference.
How is SC GD Result 2022 Calculated?
The result for the SSC GD Constable recruitment exam is going to be calculated as per the following –
- For every correct answer, you will get 01 marks.
- However, for an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are going to be deducted.
- The total marks for exam is going to be calculated by adding and deducting marks as per the answers selected by them.

SSC GD Constable Selection Process
The selection process for SSC GD constable recruitment consists of the following –
- Computer-based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Computer-based Examination (CBE) – The online CBT exam is conducted by the Commission only in English and Hindi. It consists of Objective-type questions with 100 questions of 100 marks. The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the online test. Marks scored by the candidate in CBT are normalized and such normalized scores along with the bonus marks for NCC Certificate holders will be then used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – On the basis of the candidate’s performance in CBT, they are then shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST). These tests are conducted at various centers. During PET/PST, those who are found eligible on height parameters, race, etc are further qualified for the next recruitment process.

Medical Examination – Those who qualify PET/PST will be then shortlisted for Medical examination. At the time of medical examination, the following documents are verified –

- Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).
- Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable.
- Caste certificate, if applicable.
- Necessary certificate who wish to avail relaxation in height/ chest measurement.
- Other certificates as mentioned in the notification.
How to Check SSC GD Constable 2022 Result?
To check SSC GD result 2022 online, candidates may follow the instructions given below.
1st Step: Click on the direct link above to check the result or on the official website of SSC.
2nd Step: On the homepage of the website, click on the ‘Results’ button.
3rd Step: After this, click on the ‘General Duty (GD)’ tab.
4th Step: In the next screen, you will see 2 rows for SSC GD Constable Result for males and females respectively.
5th Step: In each row, there are three (03) columns stating Write Up, Result & Marks. The result column shows the list of qualified candidates in the CBT. On the other hand, the ‘write-up’ section consists of cut-off marks.
6th Step: In order to check your name on the list, press Ctrl+F and then write your own credentials. As you will submit the credentials, your details will be then highlighted on the list.
7th Step: Finally, candidates can download the SSC GD Constable result 2022 and take a printout for future reference.
Tie-Breaker Criteria for SSC GD Constable
In the event of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the computer-based test, such cases will be resolved by applying the following methods –
- Marks in Part A of the computer-based exam (CBT) is considered first for tie-breaking.
- In case the above criteria are not valid then, marks in part B of the computer-based exam(CBT) is considered.
- If all the above criteria are not valid then, candidates with a higher date of birth are given a higher rank.
- Lastly, if all the above criteria are not valid then, alphabetical order of name with the first letter given preference.

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer given by the candidate. The four sections contain 25 questions, which carries the maximum mark of 25. For 4 wrong answers, 1 mark will be deducted from your total score.
