TANCA 2020

Anna University conducts TANCA for admission of TANCET and GATE qualified candidates. The candidates who possess a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering score are exempted from TANCET. However, they have to appear for TANCA, in order to get admission in M.Tech / M.Arch / M.E. / M.Plan offered by the colleges of Tamil Nadu.

TANCA Process – To explain TANCA counselling process in short, it includes following steps:

• Online registration -> Release of Merit List -> Attending of Counselling -> Allocation of Seat as per Merit.

Both GATE and non-GATE candidates have to apply for the TANCA counselling. On the basis of GATE / TANCET result, the candidates are allocated merit. The merit holders are then called for TANCA counselling, which is held at Anna University. There, the seat is allocated to the candidates.

Who is Eligible for TANCA 2020? – Candidates who fulfill all the eligibility criteria below.

• Candidate should have passed all the subjects in the Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
• The candidates should have also qualified Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2020 or GATE 2018 / 2019 / 2020.
• The candidates who have passed GATE 2018 / 2019 / 2020 in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers must have also qualified TANCET 2020.

Directorate of Technical Education and Directorate of Collegiate Education, Tamil Nadu, conducts counselling for TANCET MBA and MCA admission. The counselling is conducted through a single window, at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.

About TANCET 2020

Anna University conducts Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission into MBA, MCA, M.E, M.Tech, M.Plan, M.Arch programmes. The exam is conducted at state level and result of it is only considered by colleges of Tamil Nadu.
