TISSNET 2019 Analysis and Expected Cut Off
TISSNET 2019 Analysis will be available after TATA Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts National Entrance Test (NET). TISSNET 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on January 13, 2019, between 2:00 pm to 3:40 pm for 53 different Masters programs. Analysis of TISSNET 2019 will indicate difficulty level of the exam, which sections had tricky questions, the reaction of students who took the test and expected cutoffs, which will also be made available after the exam. Candidates can visit this page, once the exam has been conducted for authentic exam reviews and to seek the answer to their various cut off related questions.
Common Observation: Over the years, it has been seen that the difficulty level of TISSNET is of any other moderate level exam, conducted annually. Though, many candidates end up finding the General awareness section to be tougher as compared to other sections.
TISSNET 2019 Result
TISSNET Result will involve the release of scorecards and declaration of merit list over the official website i.e admissions.tiss.edu. Candidates will be required to log in on February 4, 2019, with the help of the credentials provided. Selected candidates will be further called for PIT and PI on the basis of the merit list released. After a candidate has appeared in these 2 rounds, the final selection score will be estimated given NET – 40%, PIT – 30% and PI – 30% weightage to each selection round. For the separate programme, the Institute shall release a separate merit list. Furthermore, some candidates will also be kept in the wait list who all will not be able to make it to the merit list.
TISS has devised its Tie-breaking policy, on the basis of considering the following criteria in the following sequence:
- Scores in PI (Candidate with higher score shall be given the priority)
- Scores of PIT (Candidate with higher score shall be given the priority)
- NET (Candidate with higher score shall be given the priority)
- Age (The older candidate will be preferred)
TISSNET Cut Offs
Expected cut offs help a candidate to estimate their chances of qualifying and appearing for the next round. Every year, experts conclude/extrapolate the data to arrive at the expected cut offs for TISSNET. Below, we have provided the expected cut offs of TISSNET 2014,2015 and 2016.
TISSNET 2018 Analysis and Expected Cut Off
TISSNET 2018 was conducted on January 6, 2018, for M.A. Human Resource Management course admission with specialization in Social Work, Social Entrepreneurship, Healthcare, Human Resources Management, and Labor Relations, Globalization and Labor, etc. Candidates were tested for 3 sections – General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency. Below, we have provided the expected cut off for TISSNET 2018. Candidates had to attempt 100 questions of 100 marks in 100 minutes.

TISSNET 2018 Analysis –
Section A – General Awareness
- Current affair section had easy to moderate level of questions.
- General Knowledge section was said to have the most difficult(tricky) questions.
- A candidate was said to easily secure a score between 23-25.
Section B – Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning
- This section was all in all considered to be the easiest of all.
- Although, questions related to logical reasoning were quite tricky in nature.
- Most of the candidates devoted around 30-35 min, secured fairly good score.
Section C – English Proficiency
- Having easy to moderate level of difficulty, this section covered topics like RCs, Error spotting, Odd Man Out, Antonyms, Analogy, Idioms.
- Although, some questions were said to be a bit tricky.
- Moreover, candidates who had attempted 25-27 questions ended up securing pretty good score in this section.
TISSNET 2017 Analysis and Expected Cut Off
TISSNET 2017 was held on 07 January 2017. TATA Institute of Social Sciences conducts TISSNET 2017, the National Entrance Test for determining merit list for shortlisting candidates for PIT and PI. Those who clear-cut off of TISSNET 2017, and clear the Pre-Interview Test, Personal Interviews, will be selected for MA Admissions 2017-2019 in the institute.
