Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test is a state level entrance exam. It is conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad. This is an annual exam conducted to grant admission to eligible candidates in the various engineering/ non-engineering diploma courses offered by the varied colleges in the state of Telangana.

Application Form

The application form available in the online mode for TS POLYCET 2018 was facilitated by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, TS Hyderabad. Candidates have register themselves for the exam through the official website. Candidates have filled the form online and had taken a printout of Application form with photograph affixed (Do not staple and do not sign on the photo) and duly signed by Parent/Guardian should be submitted to the computer operator at the nearest TSonline/Payment gateway/Net Banking/Coordinating cum Helpline centre with a cash payment of Rs. 350/-. For SC/ST Candidates Rs. 200/-. This application fees was paid in both online and offline modes.

Eligibility Criteria POLYCET

It is advised that you refer to the information brochure before you start registering yourself for the exam. Please ensure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria laid down by the official exam body or else you will be disqualified from the exam. We have listed a few of those criteria below.

  • You should an Indian National.
  • It is necessary that you hold the domicile of the State of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • No age criteria are applicable to appear in the entrance exam.
  • You must have qualified your SSC exam from a recognized board.
  • You should have obtained a minimum of 35% marks in the last qualifying exam.
  • You must have mathematics as a subject in your exam.
  • If you are appearing for your SSC exam even then you are eligible to apply for the exam.

Admit Card

The admit card for the entrance exam has been issued to the candidates by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad. They will have to hand over their duly filled application form and the operator will feed in all the required details as per the details mentioned on the registration form. Once, reconfirmed by the candidate the operator will submit the details and the admit card will be generated. You can also download your admit card from the official website.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Exam

The examination (POLYCET) will be of 02 hours duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus. The questions asked in the entrance exam will be based on the SSC syllabus. Hence, the questions asked in the subjects like physics, chemistry, and mathematics will be based on the SSC syllabus.

Exam Pattern

The TS POLYCET 2018 exam will be a pen and paper-based exam. The exam will be an objective type exam comprising of 120 multiple choice questions. The question paper will be published in two languages i.e. English and Telugu. Each candidate will be awarded a mark for every correct response and no negative marks will be deducted for a wrong response.
