UGC NET 2019 Application Form
NTA has extended the last date to apply online for UGC NET 2019. Register now at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Initially the last date to apply was October 9, 2019. However, considering that a lot of candidates missed the deadline, another chance has been given.
The application fee is Rs 1000 for general or unreserved. It is Rs 500 for EWS and OBC. It is Rs 250 for SC, ST, PWD, transgender candidates.

UGC NET 2019 Application Form Correction
If you have made a mistake in the application form of NTA UGC NET Dec 2019, then you can correct it during the application form correction. Check the dates for correction in the dates table above. Then during that window, you have to go to the website, login, and change the details you want to edit.
How to edit mistakes in NTA UGC NET 2019 during form correction?
- Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Click the link “login for correction in application form”.
- Enter application number and password, click login button.
- On the next page, click application form correction.
- Then on the next page, click apply for application form correction.
- Then your application form will open in such a way that you can edit all the fields.
- After editing details, you will get to know whether you have to pay any fee or not. If yes, pay it.
Make sure that this time you enter correct details. No other chance will be given for form correction.
Important instructions for form correction
- You can only edit particulars in the application form once.
- After you change any details in the application form, you will immediately get to know whether any additional fee has to be paid or not.
- If you have to any additional exam fee, then you need to do that then only. Only after that, your correction in particulars will be accepted.
Forgot Application Number or Password – Know What To Do!
If you have forgotten your application number or password, then do not worry. There is a very simple way to get it. All you have to do is to follow these steps!
Step no. 1: Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step no. 2: Click any of the available links which lead to login – fill online application form, download admit card, image correction; any of them.
Step no. 3: As soon as you reach the login page, you will see two links under registered candidates sign in section: (1) Forgot Password? (2) Forgot Application No?
Now, if you have forgotten your password, please click forgot password link. And if you have misplaced your application number, please click forgot application no. link.

Case A. Forgotten password
Step no. 4: You will see these options to reset your password
- Using Security Question & its Answer you chosen during Form filling: Here you will enter your application number, select security question from dropdown, enter security answer.
- Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No: So here you will enter application number, DOB. That’s it.
- Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address.: Same as in the last option. Just enter application number and date of birth.
Step 5: After you fill the details, follow the instructions on the screen.
Case B. Forgot application number
Step no. 4: You will reach a form. Here, enter your name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth.
Please note that in the case of password you get the option to change it. In application number, you cannot change it, you just see what was yours.
Also, do not share your login details with anyone. Or anyone can download your UGC NET admit card.
How To Download UGC NET Admit Card 2019?

Step no. 1: Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Please note that earlier the official website used to be ntanet.nic.in. It is now ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step no. 2: Click view admit card.

Step no. 3: On the next page, enter application number and date of birth. Type in the security pin. Then click submit button.

Step no. 4: Once you are at the candidate dashboard, click download admit card button.

Step no. 5: This will take you to the candidate verification for downloading admit card page. Check that details are correct and click download your admit card button.

Your UGC NET Admit Card gets downloaded as a pdf. Save it. Then print it.
UGC NET 2019 Admit Card – Did not get, Errors
If you did not get your admit card for UGC NET 2019 December exam, then you need to contact the helpline as per the dates given in the schedule above.
Also, if there is any mismatch in the information in your admit card and the confirmation page of your application form, then also you need to contact helpline as per same schedule. Check that photograph, signature are correct.

NTA NET 2019 Admit Card and Other Things To Take To Exam Center
Appearing in the NTA UGC NET 2019 is an important event. With all the security measures and rules, you should have the important documents with you on the day of exam. Here is a checklist for your quick reference.
Compulsory things to take to exam center
- UGC NET Admit Card 2019 (printout)
- One passport size photograph (same as in online form, to paste in attendance sheet)
- Authorized photo ID (original, valid, non expired)
You will also need to bring a name change document – like marriage certificate, divorce, decree, legal name change document – IF your name was changed due to marriage or such events.
If you have claimed relaxation under PWD category, then you have to bring PWD certificate also.
The options for photo ID are:
- Aadhaar Card with photograph
- Aadhaar Enrolment No
- Driving License
- PAN card
- Passport
- Ration Card
- Voter ID
Note: Name on photo ID must match name on UGC NET Admit Card 2019.
Banned items
Just like there is a list of things to bring. There is also a list of things not to bring. It includes textual material like printed material, books, paper, calculator, docu men, slide rules, log tables. Then you are also not allowed to take gadgets and devices like mobile phone, blue tooth device, pager.
Kara and Kirpan
If you have kara or kirpan, then you need to go to the exam center at least 1.5 hours before the gate closing time (see your UGC NET admit card 2019 for the time). However, NTA says, “If upon screening at the Examination Centre, it is discovered that any candidate is actually carrying, within the ‘Kara’ and ‘Kirpan’, a suspect device, he/she may be asked not to take it in the Examination Hall (as directed by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court vide its Order dated 03.05.2018).”

The UGC NET December 2019 exam is the second NET exam of the year. There is no difference between this and the UGC NET June 2019 exam, except the dates.

NTA UGC NET
National Eligibility Test is the national level exam to determine eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor, and to get Junior Research Fellowship. So basically anyone in India who wishes to be an Assistant Professor must qualify UGC NET cut off for the same. And those who need to get JRF should clear the UGC NET cut off for JRF.
