On the occasion of World Radio Day, UNESCO selected 2 podcasts that were created by the students of Times School of Media (TSOM), Bennett University, for “Celebrating Humanity in all its Diversity” event. The selected podcasts have been put on UNESCO’s website.

‘Mere Gaav Mere Log’ and ‘Homosexuality Promo’ – The 2 Selected Podcasts
The selected podcasts have been created by the students of Bennett University that cam to them as projects given to them while they were learning to produce Radio Programmes and Podcasts as a part of their curriculum.
‘Mere Gaav Mere Log’: This podcast was a three-part series, created by Utkarsh Gaharwar, Amrita Jha and Manas Dixit, students of Post Graduate Diploma – Digital Media (PGDM)
‘Homosexuality Promo’: This podcast was created by the team of Meher Dhanjal, Muskan Guliani and Raghavi Jhanjee, second-year students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Both the project was made under the guidance of Dr. Moina Khan, Assistant Professor, TSOM, Bennett University.
How were the podcasts made by the students of Bennett University?
Well, Bennett University has conducted various practical, theoretical and critical listening sessions to train students to produce podcasts. During various projects and assignments that are a part of the curriculum, students are encouraged to think, conceptualize ideas and use state-of-the-art University’s Media Labs with the latest media software to produce audio and video stories. All this helped the students to come up with classic podcasts that have been picked up by UNESCO.
