UPSEE 2020 Result – AKTU will declare the UPSEE result of Paper 1 to 8 in the mid of October 2020. It releases online at upsee.nic.in. Roll number and password are required to check result of UPSEE 2020. The result is declared in 2 forms, scorecard and merit list. The scorecard has marks of the candidates in UPSEE 2020 and the merit list is drawn based on the marks scored. UPSEE Result 2020
The general category candidates who score 25% marks in UPSEE 2020 are placed in the merit list. However, SC and ST candidates need 20% marks to get a place in the merit list. A separate merit list is prepared for each course of UPSEE 2020. The important dates of UPSEE 2020 result are given below:

Compilation of UPSEE 2020 Result
UPSEE 2020 result is compiled in 2 formats given below:
A) UPSEE 2020 scorecard
B) UPSEE 2020 merit list
A) UPSEE 2020 scorecard: This is compiled based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam. Using the marking scheme of the paper for which the candidates have appeared for in the exam, marks are calculated. The scorecard has total marks of the candidates in the paper and the rank of the candidate in the exam.
B) UPSEE 2020 merit list: The merit list is drawn based on the marks of the candidates in the exam. To get a rank in the merit list candidates have to score a minimum percentage of marks. This is called the UPSEE 2020 cutoff marks. Higher the score in UPSEE, higher is the merit position / rank of the candidate. In case, 2 or more candidates get the same marks in the exam, tie-breaking is done to give them ranks.
UPSEE 2020 Merit List Compilation
Merit list is a list of candidates who are selected and ranked according to the marks achieved in an examination. UPSEE Merit list is prepared after the declaration of the UPSEE 2020 Result. The higher the marks candidates score in the UPSEE 2020 examination higher shall be his/her rank. It is released online only in the pdf format. Candidates can check the merit list through the official website. The merit list consists of the enrollment number of the candidates. Those who come on the list are eligible for the counseling round.

UPSEE 2020 Tie Breaking Criteria
In case, two or more candidates score same marks in the exam then tie-breaking method is used to sort down the rank of each candidate. A candidate with higher positive marks is ranked higher than another.

- A candidate having a lesser percentage of incorrect answers is placed at higher merit.
- If tie persists, then the below given criteria is used:
B.Tech./B. Tech (Ag. Engg.)/ MCA(Integrated) M Tech (Dual Degree) By the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, sections of Paper 1 respectively and then by age. B.Pharm. By marks obtained in Biology, Chemistry sections of Paper 2 respectively and then by age B.Arch By marks obtained in Drawing Aptitude, Mathematics & Aesthetics sensitivity section of Paper 3 respectively and then by age. B.Tech.(Bio-Tech.) Same as applicable in B.Tech./B.Pharm B Des/BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/ B Voc/ MBA/MBA(Integrated)/MCA/Lateral entry By age only
- If a tie still remains, the candidate with the lowest application number is placed higher in the merit.

UPSEE 2020 Counselling
AKTU calls all the qualified candidates of the UPSEE 2020 to appear for the counseling round. Counselling is based on the merit list. The update for the same is released on the official website after the result is announced. The counseling procedure ends only when the seats of the colleges are all booked. Students are called in different schedules for counselling. The candidate is advised to take the important documents with them on the day of counseling.
