The UPSEE 2018 Results will be declared by the conducting body Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow in the month of May 2018. The UPSEE 2018 Exam will be organised in the month of April 2018. The separate merit-lists are made on the basis of performance of students in the UPSEE.

In case of tie-breaker between two or more students, an inter-se-merit list will be made.The qualified candidates will be invited for the counselling as per their ranks in the entrance exam result. The leading newspapers of Uttar Pradesh and official AKTU website will be giving the intimation regarding the dates of counselling.

Candidates are requested to note that official details of UPSEE 2018 result have not yet been announced. Information on this page is as per previous year brochure and only for reference of such candidates who have started looking for details to get an idea of UPSEE 2018. As soon as Dr. A.P.J. How is selection done?

Merit-List: Primarily, the overall marks of an aspirant will be calculated in the exam. To qualify, one must get marks equal to or par the cutoff marks to be eligible for the counselling round. The merit-list will feature the list of qualified students in order of merit. One can view Merit-Position, Overall Marks and Marks in each subject in the merit-list.

Inter-se-merit: There might be chances of two or more students achieving equal overall marks, then, in such cases, the tie is broken through the preparation of the inter-se-merit list keeping in mind the following points-

Primarily, an aspirant who will have less incorrect answers will be ranked higher.

Secondly,

For B.Tech

  1. Marks in Mathematics will be preferred.
  2. If there still exists a tie, then, marks in Physics will be preferred.
  3. Further tie would result in preference of marks in Chemistry.
  4. Ultimately, senior aspirants will be given priority.

For B.Pharm.

  1. Marks in Biology will be preferred.
  2. If there still exists a tie, then, marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
  3. Further tie would result in preference of marks in Physics.
  4. Ultimately, senior aspirants will be given priority.

B.Arch

  1. Marks in Drawing Aptitude will be preferred.
  2. If there still exists a tie, then, marks in Mathematics will be preferred.
  3. Further tie would result in preference of marks in Aesthetics.
  4. Ultimately, senior aspirants will be given priority.

B.Tech. (Ag.Engg)

  1. Marks in AG-I will be preferred.
  2. If there still exists a tie, then, marks in AG-II will be preferred.
  3. Further tie would result in preference of marks in AG-III.
  4. Ultimately, senior aspirants will be given priority.

B.Tech. (Bio Tech)

  1. Marks in Mathematics will be preferred.
  2. If there still exists a tie, then, marks in Physics will be preferred.
  3. Further tie would result in preference of marks in Chemistry.
  4. Ultimately, senior aspirants will be given priority.

BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA/ MBA/ MCA/ Lateral Entry

Senior candidates will be placed higher in rank.

Counselling

The aspirants featuring in the final merit-list will be called for the counselling process where they will be allotted seats on the basis of their order of merit in one of the affiliated colleges under AKTU. There will be five subsequent rounds of counselling which will occur one after another to fill the vacant seats left from the previous round.

The procedure to apply for the Registration and Choice Filling Schedule for each round is similar.

  1. First you will be required to register, pay the registration fee and upload the scanned images of the necessary documents.
  2. Next, the documents will be verified by AKTU at the main campus.
  3. After the successful verification, you can check the Availability of seats and proceed with Online Choice Filling through the official portal www.upsee.nic.in
  4. First round choice locking can be done after you have filled your desired choice.
  5. On the basis of performance of an aspirant, seat shall be allotted to him/ her.
  6. Ultimately, you need to make your mind whether to freeze the seat or let it go to the other candidate with the rank next to you.

The reserved category aspirants will have to provide the Category/ Sub-category certificates at the time of the counselling to support their identity as reserved category candidate.

Cutoff analysis of UPSEE 2017

The cutoff marks are the minimum marks that must be obtained by an aspirant in order to feature in the merit-list. The cutoff for merit-allotment as mentioned in the official brochure is-

  • 25% for the aspirants other than SC/ ST
