VITEEE 2019 – VIT University has announced VIT Result 2019 on April 29, 2019. The result is announced online, on the official website vit.ac.in.. Candidates appeared for VITEEE between April 10 to 21, 2019, need application number and date of birth to download the result. Qualifying candidates of VITEEE 2019 are called for counselling and shall be offered seat in 17 B.Tech programmes offered at VIT’s, Vellore campus, 7 B. VITEEE 2019 Result

The result for VITEEE 2019 is made available in the online mode. At the time of publication of the results, the exam conducting body also intimates the candidates of their rank in the entrance test through SMS and the same is also be made available on the website. Also, the Institute prepares a merit list on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. Those who are included in the merit list then, are eligible to appear for VITEEE 2019 Counselling.

The preparation of VITEEE 2019 Result is done on the basis of the marking scheme given by the University. The candidates shall not be allowed to send requests for re-checking/ re-evaluation of the result announced on the website.

VITEEE 2019 Counselling

The shortlisting of the candidates for VITEEE 2019 Counselling is done on the basis of their All India Rank (AIR) in the test. After the declaration of the result, the Institute will publish a counselling schedule at its website and the eligible candidates should appear for it as per the schedule only. Common selection and Admission procedure will be followed through single window counselling for all the B.Tech programmes offered in all the campuses of VIT University. Eligible candidates may select specific campus and course during counselling. It is important the candidates should appear in person for VITEEE Counselling.

On the basis of the availability of the seat and preference submitted by the candidate, he/she will be allotted the branch. At the time of the VITEEE 2019 Counseling, the candidates need to report to the venue along with the necessary documents in proof fulfilling the eligibility criteria such as Date of Birth, Academic Background, Category, etc.

VITEEE 2019 Admit Card

After the slot booking process is done and the candidates confirm their exam center, date and time choices, the admit card is generated. This is the VITEEE 2019 Admit Card. It acts as an entry pass to the exam centers. The admit card consists of important details like the shift, date, timings, venue of the entrance test chosen by the candidate during OTBS.

The admit card must be downloaded and carried to the exam centers in a printed format. the soft copy is not accepted. Note that if the admit card by any chance don’t have your photo and signature, do carry a valid id proof in original.

VITEEE 2019 Center Wise Exam Dates

On account of General Elections to be held on April 11, 18, 23 and 29, 2019 as well as on May 06, 12 and 19, 2019, the VITEEE 2019 cannot be conducted on these particular dates. Also on April 07, 08, 09, 10 and 12, 2019 the JEE Main 2019 April exam is being conducted. Keeping these two events in mind the exam dates of the VITEEE 2019 in each city has been decided as follows:

VITEEE 2019 Slot Booking

Candidates who complete the VITEEE 2019 Application Process by successfully paying the application fee are eligible to book their exam slots. The slot booking process takes place online and is done in the first come first serve basis.

What is slot booking? Since the exam is held in multiple days and in multiple slots the university allows the candidates to select their most preferred exam date and time out of the slots available to appear in the exam. This is the slot booking process for VITEEE. It is entirely done in online mode at the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) hosted at vit.ac.in.

How the slot booking is done?

The slot booking is an online process. Here are the steps for the slot booking:

  • The university sends a password to the registered mobile number of the candidates on or before the slot booking start date.
  • The candidate then has to enter the password in the OTBS and start the slot booking process.
  • The slot booking is a first come first serve process. Therefore make sure that you are fast enough to book the preferred slots.

VITEEE 2019 Slots

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is scheduled in 03 sessions each day. The sessions as per which the exam will be conducted are mentioned in the table below.

The candidates have to select their most preferred exam date, time (session) and centre of the examination in the slot booking process.

IS VITEEE 2019 Tougher than JEE Main?

Students generally ask if VITEEE is tough in comparison to JEE Main? JEE Main is based on the application of concepts while VITEEE is simple straight from the syllabus. Furthermore, JEE Main has negative marking, which makes it more difficult for the students to score marks. In the case of VITEEE, there is no negative marking. Also, VITEEE has a very balanced set of questions.

VITEEE 2019 Exam Pattern

The first step in preparing for the entrance exam is to know the exam pattern and the marking scheme of the test. It is important that you should be well-versed with the exam pattern. VITEEE is a computer-based test which will be conducted in three sessions per day. The total duration of the test is 02 hours and 30 minutes. The entrance exam will consist of MCQ type questions.

The candidates will be given an option to choose the question paper for VITEEE 2019.

Marking Scheme: There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING for an incorrect answer.

Inorganic Chemistry – The type of questions which shall be asked from this section may be based on the reactions given in the standard textbook. Chapters like s-block, p-block and d-block elements come under this category and important. It is advised to do the exercise questions given at the end of the chapter first. How to Prepare for VITEEE 2019?

To further help the candidates in their preparation we have shared some tips below. Kindly read it and All the best for the exam!

  1. Generally, the difficulty level of the VITEEE is not very tough and the questions are on the easy side. However, it does not mean that no efforts are to be made for the preparation. It may not be tough but VITEEE attracts a lot of competition so hard work is a must to prepare for it.
  2. Make sure that you are through with the Basics of PCM of +1 and +2 level, and cover everything given in the VITEEE 2018 syllabus. The syllabus for VITEEE 2019 consists of only some specific chapters, and the test is prepared as per it only.
  3. You must practice a lot, solve past year question papers or sample papers as much as possible to improve your problem-solving speed. VITEEE has a lot of questions to be answered in a short interval of time.
  4. Also, many experts have suggested buying the Arihant preparation book for VITEEE. It consists of the question papers of last 8-10 years & 10 Model Test Papers given separately. Solving these will help you give an idea of the level of questions that are asked in the exam.

Past Year VITEEE Exam Analysis

As per the past year exam analysis, one of the students who appeared for the entrance exam said that all the papers were easy to answer when compared to that of JEE Main. The questions from subjects like Chemistry and Physics were of average difficulty level, but some of the questions in the Mathematics section were tough to answer. However, overall, the papers were good. Another student reveals that VITEEE Question Paper can be rated as average and Chemistry was easier to answer, which was expected.

VITEEE 2019 Answer Key

As per the last past few year observations, the University shall not publish any answer key for the candidates who will be appearing for the Computer-based test. The official authorities did not publish the VITEEE Answer Key last year, hence, the chances of the candidates getting the answer key for VITEEE 2019 are very less. However, there shall be some unofficial sources, which may release the exam analysis for each session and the answer key.

VITEEE 2019 Cut Off

The cut off is the minimum marks in the entrance exam to qualify it. It is calculated on the basis of various factors such as the number of received application forms, the number of students who appeared for VITEEE, number of seats available and average performance given by the students. VIT University does not announce any VITEEE Cutoff. However, to predict the ranks of the candidates in the VITEEE 2019 exam, the university uses an Equating Method.

What is Equating Methodology?

The application form of VITEEE 2019 is available in two modes:

  • Online – VITEEE 2019 Online Application Form
  • Offline – VITEEE 2019 OMR Form

Candidates can apply either online or offline but via both the modes. The process to apply for VITEEE 2019 is as follows:

How to Apply for VITEEE 2019 in Online Mode:

  • Click on application form link.
  • Under Sign-in, click on ‘New Applicant’ tab.
  • The, enter Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Mobile Number, E-mail Id, Verification Code, etc.
  • After this, the candidates will have to fill Personal and Education details.
  • Next step is to pay the application fee and then upload the photograph and signature.
  • The last step of the application process is to download the confirmation page of the Application Form.

How to Fill VITEEE 2019 OMR Application Form: The candidates purchase OMR application form from either from the designated post offices or from the campuses of VITEEE. The points to note are:

  • To check List of designated post offices – Click Here
  • Candidates will have to pay Rs. 1200 to get the application form from post office.
  • To get the application form from the Vellore, Bhopal, Amaravati, and Chennai Campus, candidates submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 1200.
  • The DD is to be prepared in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology’, and is to be handed over in person.
  • After this, candidates need to submit all the details neatly in the application form and send it back to the VIT University, before the last date.

Qualifying Examination for appearing for VITEEE 2019

As per the information is given on the website, the students should have completed or shall be appearing in 2019 in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

  • Candidates appeared or appearing in the final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi can apply for VITEEE 2019.
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They will have to produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.

Who are not Eligible to Apply for VITEEE 2019?

  • Other Open School candidates are not eligible for VITEEE.
  • Those who have appeared for the +2 exam through different boards in the same academic year are not eligible to appear for VITEEE-2019.
