VITEEE 2020 Result
At the time of publication of the VITEEE Result, VIT also intimates the candidates of their rank in the entrance test through SMS and the same is also be made available on the website. Also, the Institute prepares a merit list for VIT admission on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. Those who are included in the merit list then, are eligible to appear for VITEEE 2020 Counselling. The result of the candidates is prepared based on the marking scheme of the exam.
VITEEE 2020 Result Equating Method
VIT conducts VITEEE in multiple slots. Hence, to ensure that the difficulty in all the sets is the same and a fair determination of merit list and rank, the University uses an equating method. It is a statistical process which adjusts scores on test forms. It basically, makes in approximately equivalent. Due to it, the scores on forms are interchangeable. So, the VIT University uses the Equipercentile Equating method to find the rank, in such a manner that the scores on different forms, but with the same percentile rank, are equivalent.
For example: A percentile rank of 90 means that 90% of test takers are below that candidate. Also, only 10% of the test takes have performed better.

VITEEE 2020 Slot Booking
- Now that the examination has been cancelled – there will be no slot booking for VITEEE 2020.
VIT slot booking allows the candidates to book slots for VITEEE 2020. The VITEEE registered candidates can book their most suitable date, time, and center to appear for the exam. VITEEE is held over multiple shifts and days, therefore students can use the slot booking facility to book their preferred exam slots. The candidates can book:

VITEEE 2020 slot booking is done via the VIT Online Test Booking System (OTBS). To access the slot booking portal candidates have to use the steps below:
Step 1: Click n the direct link available on this page for slot booking.
Step 2: On the login window next enter the following:
- Application number that is generated after the successful registration for VITEEE 2020.
- Password for OTBS is sent to the candidates before the slot booking starts. It is sent in the registered email ids of the candidates. Thus keep checking the email for a mail from BIT for the OTBS password.
Step 3: Book the slots and submit the choices.
Step 4: On submission of choices and successful completion of the slot booking, the VITEEE admit card is generated.

VITEEE 2020 Admit Card
- Now that the examination has been cancelled – admit card for VITEEE 2020 will not release.
Once the VITEEE 2020 slot booking is done, the VITEEE admit card is generated. Candidates have to download the admit card and carry the printed copy of the same on the day of the exam. Even if a candidate does not book their VITEEE 2020 slots, the admit card is generated for such candidates as per the details they have provided in the application form. On the day of the entrance exam, candidates need to carry a hard copy of the admit card along with valid id proof.
A valid ID proof can be anyone of these:
- School or college Photo ID card, or
- Twelfth Standard board exam hall ticket / admit card bearing photo, or
- Aadhaar Card, or

VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates can check below the eligibility before they proceed to apply for the entrance exam:
Age limit:
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1998 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2020.
Nationality:
- Both NRI and Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for VITEEE.
- Foreign candidates can also apply under the foreign category. A separate link is activated fro their VITEEE Registration.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates must have any one of the below given qualifications before they appear for VITEEE 2020:
- 10+2 level examination by State Board, CBSE, and ICSE
- Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- HSCE of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.
Who are not eligible for VITEEE 2020?
Candidates who have appeared for the +2 exam through different boards in the same academic year are not eligible to appear for VITEEE.
Minimum marks in the qualifying examination:
- The candidates need atleast 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying examination.
However, the candidates of the following categories can appear in VITEEE 2020 if they have 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir
- Students from North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura
Subject combination needed in 10+2:
- Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes.

VITEEE 2020 Answer Key
The answer key for the VITEEE 2020 is not released. The university conducts the exam in online mode, however, they do not publish the official answer keys. But the candidates can get their hands on some of the answer keys that are released by the unofficial sources after the exam. Such answer keys of VITEEE 2020 are memory-based.
The memory-based answer keys are those keys that are published by the subject matter experts or the coaching centers based on the memory of the candidates. These keys shall be available in the PDF format or in video formats.

VITEEE 2020 Counselling
The shortlisting of the candidates for VITEEE 2020 Counselling is done on the basis of their All India Rank (AIR) in VITEEE. After the declaration of the result, the Institute also publishes a counselling schedule at its website and the eligible candidates need to appear in the VITEEE counselling rounds to complete the admission process.
A Common selection and Admission procedure is followed through single window counselling for all the B.Tech programs offered in all the campuses of VIT University. Eligible candidates can select specific campus and course during the counselling.

Foreign Candidates who studied or is studying abroad can apply directly, but only through foreign category. A separate application form is made available for them. 'NIOS' board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE.
Ans : No. The candidates have to qualify VITEEE for admission. The JEE Main scores are not accepted by VIT university for admission.
Ans : It is a CBT (Computer-Based Test). the students have to attempt the questions in the computer provided at the exam centers.
Ans : A total of 125 questions are asked in VITEEE. There are 40 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology section and 05 questions from English. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 mins. Each correct answer gets you 1 marks and there is no negative marking.
