Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women’s Institute of Technology (APJAKWIT), Darbhanga is formerly known as Women’s Institute of Technology. It is a unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, which was approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of Bihar. Candidates will have to take the Combined Admission Test (CAT) to get eligible for admission into Four years B. Tech programs and Three years MCA course. WIT Darbhanga Entrance Exam
The Combined Admission test duration is 2 hours 15 minutes for the B. Tech and MCA courses. The Question paper for the CAT is objective type and there will be no negative marking. You can check exam dates and, prepared according to the Syllabus and Exam pattern, which will help you to qualify the examination.
WIT Darbhanga Admission Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech Programmes:
Candidates can check the eligibility of B.Tech programmes in Information Technology(IT), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from the below:
Candidates have to passed 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized Institutes / University /Board / Council with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) with 45% marks for unreserved category and 40% for reserved category and Passed in English Subject.
For B.Tech in Bioinformatics(BI):
Candidates have to pass 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized Institutes / University /Board / Council with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics (PCM)/(PCB) with 45% marks for unreserved category and 40% for reserved category and Passed in English Subject.
For Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes:
Candidates can check the eligibility of Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes in Information Technology(IT) and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE):
- Passed Diploma examination in a relevant branch from a recognized University/Institute with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology.
- Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
For PG course in (MCA):
You can check the eligibility of PG course in Master of Computer Application (MCA):
- Candidates have to pass from recognized institutes with 50% for unreserved category and 45% for reserved category marks at the graduate level.
- Candidates who have passed in mathematics as one of the subjects at the +2 level of the 10+2 pattern/International or equivalent Examination are also eligible.
- Candidates who have passed Degree in subjects other (BCA) graduates are also eligible for the admission.
WIT Darbhanga Entrance Exam Pattern and Syllabus
For B.Tech Programmes:
The Examination duration of CAT will be of 2 hours 15 minutes. The Question paper of CAT for B.Tech containing the 150 objective questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics.
